With partners and guests, the team at URW once again joined the parade with a Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier truck – this year under the motto "Viva La Love". Together with 250,000 people, we celebrated diversity and tolerance on the streets of Hamburg. Many thanks again to our tenants, such as Breuninger, Douglas, derbe, KINOPOLIS Management Multiplex GmbH, and LEGO Discovery Centre Hamburg, who helped us to make this day absolutely special. We can hardly wait for the grand opening of Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier on October 17, 2024, where we and our tenants aim to create a place for more diversity and tolerance for everyone – regardless of age, gender, faith or sexual orientation! COMMUNITY: Recently, the16th neighborhood event took place at our showroom in HafenCity. Neighbors of Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier came together with Theda Juliane Mustroph, General Manager of Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier, Dirk Hünerbein, Director of Development Austria & Germany at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield , Viktor ESKIOGLOU, Head of Coordination Construction/Development, and Karen Mester-Lichtsinn, Senior Marketing Manager, to have a lively dialogue about the opening and the project development as well as to discuss topics like construction activities, mobility aspects and logistics.   The 30 participants are looking forward to the opening of the quarter and the wide range of offers that will then be available to them: From local daily needs shopping at #REWE Jens Piclum, to cultural experiences such as the immersive art center #PortdesLumières, to culinary highlights such as the Indian restaurant #Cardamom.   “It is our declared intention to use the events not only to talk about Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier, but also to cultivate a lively relationship with our neighbors and contribute to an intensive exchange between residents. We want to be a key part of the community here and play an active role”, explained Theda Juliane Mustroph.   Since the first neighborhood event in 2019, in total 571 residents have received background information about the project and shared their thoughts and concerns with us. They have taken the opportunity to network with other residents, identified similarities and forged new friendships and everybody is already looking forward to the next occasion.   #reinventbeingtogether #hamburg #hafencity #westfieldhamburgueberseequartier #urwgermany

Setting an example for diversity, empowerment and inclusion and against discrimination towards the LGBTQIA+ community is an integral part of Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield's corporate identity. Last weekend, Christopher Street Day was once again the big highlight of Hamburg Pride Week. This year’s official motto was "5 to 12! You & I against right-wing pressure." 250,000 people celebrated one gigantic party for the cause in the city. And as before, there was once again a Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier truck - this time with the motto “Viva La Love”. Together with teams of Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier, tenants as Breuninger, Douglas, derbe, KINOPOLIS Management Multiplex GmbH or LEGO Discovery Centre Hamburg celebrated a wonderful day dedicated to tolerance and diversity and expressed that the new pulsating quartier, which will celebrate its grand opening on October 17, 2024, will also be a place where everyone will be welcome and safe, regardless of age, gender, faith or sexual orientation. Since 2020, this attitude has also manifested itself in the company's own “Be You at URW” network. The “Be You at URW” team is committed to overcoming prejudices of all kinds in everyday life, embracing diversity and creating a special sense of belonging within the Group for everyone. At the same time, the BeYou team regularly organizes events and workshops to further strengthen, protect and challenge diversity and integration at URW. BRANDS: The Hamburg-based label 8beaufort.Hamburg, known for its sneakers and accessories made from recycled canvas is the latest addition to the brand mix at Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier. Ever since its start in 2018, 8beaufort.hamburg lives their brand essence “SailYourCourse” by always putting a huge emphasis on sustainability. Founder Sabine Moormann is driven by her desire to create products that are high quality and durable, comfortable and free of harmful substances, fairly produced, completely sustainable and affordable. To accomplish this, 8beaufort.hamburg is run as ecologically as possible. All products are manufactured in Portuguese family businesses. In the manufacturing process, products made from natural materials and discarded sailcloth are used. Through this form of upcycling, the company also actively contributes to reducing the pollution of the oceans. In line with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield's plan to support the sustainable evolution of retail, we recently announced a group of rental partners that is characterized in particular by the fact that they place special emphasis on sustainability, especially when it comes to procurement, production and sales. The newly announced partners were Airpaq, #TheAvocadoShow, #Brammibal’sDonuts and #TheFjordHouse. OFFICES: Hamburg-based management consultancy WAYES moves its headquarters to Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier! The letting of office space at the mixed-use quartier continues to progress successfully. The Hamburg-based management consultancy WAYES, which focuses on restructuring, litigation, transactions, planning, interim management and tax consultancy, and URW have signed a long-term office lease agreement.   WAYES will move into an area of 1,500 sqm on the top two floors (12th & 13th) of the “Luv” building. The handover of the new office space is planned for spring 2025. In addition to the almost fully let office buildings Lee (10,500 sqm) and The Yard (8,000 sqm), letting is also progressing in the Luv building.   Stefan Wechsung, Konrad Martin and Falk Schnurbusch, Hamburg partners at WAYES: “The investment in modern and larger office space is an investment in the future - we are continuing to grow and naturally want to honour this. #ThrivingCommunities: This week, Bianka Petri, School Principal of Schule Auf Der Veddel, Thorsten Altenburg-Hack, Head of School Authority of the City of Hamburg, Ralf Neubauer, Head of the District Office for the district Hamburg-Mitte, and Theda Juliane Mustroph, Quarter Manager at Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier came together on the grounds of the school “Schule auf der Veddel” to inaugurate a new kiosk.   The kiosk, a pavilion made of glass and steel, was donated by Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier to support an initiative founded by pupils in 2023 to sell snacks and drinks on the school grounds. A special feature of the pupils' initiative is that they sell the goods themselves. Originally, the pavilion was a prototype for pop-up kiosks at Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier, which had already been tested at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s #RuhrPark in Bochum. In the interests of using resources and materials responsibly and supporting the communities, the aim was clear: to reuse the kiosk. The school "Schule auf der Veddel" has been awarded the contract for the subsequent use of the prototype. As a part of its #BetterPlaces sustainability agenda, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield is committed to make a contribution to the social development of the cities and communities in which the company operates. The kiosk will initially be set up at the temporary location in Tunnelstrasse and will find its permanent home once the renovated school campus on Castellonstieg has been completed. With the Grand Opening on October 17, the city of Hamburg will welcome a vibrant new destination in the heart of HafenCity – a place that dynamically combines retail, residential, office space and leisure attractions. In recent months, further brands have been brought on board that will further differentiate the retail and lifestyle destination's offering.   - With adidas, another global brand is opening a store on 1,200 sqm store on one of the central axes in the quartier. The store will showcase the latest "Home of Sports" concept. The world-renowned brand is opening the unit in collaboration with PTH group. - Läderach, a premium chocolatier founded in Switzerland in 1962, specialises in the famous "FrischSchoggi". This is freshly made chocolate moulded into slabs, cracked and portioned according to the customer's wishes. - Kapten & Son, a lifestyle brand best known for its backpacks, will also offer a wide range of products from sunglasses to suitcases and jackets. - LIEBESKIND BERLIN, with its impressive 170 sqm showcase corner façade and the first store in Hamburg's inner city, also ensures further differentiation in the retail offering. - Also part of the programme are Tom Tailor, HARIBO Deutschland, Hunkemöller and Deichmann.   In line with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s plan to support the sustainable evolution of retail, another group of rental partners is characterized in particular by the fact that they place special emphasis on #sustainability, especially when it comes to procurement, production and sales.   - Airpaq opens its first stand-alone store in Germany at Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier.
