At Baettr in Lem, Denmark, we are deeply committed to standing with those impacted by cancer – our employees, their families, and the wider community. Once again, our team has come together to support Knæk Cancer (Fight Cancer) by fundraising for the cause as we strive to spread awareness and show our commitment to finding a cure, one step closer each day ❤️ Knæk Cancer is Denmark's largest effort against cancer where Danes and Danish companies raise money for cancer research, prevention, and patient support. Knæk Cancer is known for the flower in their logo which symbolizes life and optimism, and the red exclamation mark calls for immediate action. To spread as much awareness as we possibly can, we have created what we believe to be Denmark's heaviest Knæk Cancer flower, made from 8 main shafts and a hub which are components used in a wind turbine’s nacelle! Weighing approximately 158 tons, we wanted this flower to symbolize both the weight of cancer's impact on all of us and the strength we find in standing together to fight it. #knækcancer #knækcancerblomst #fightingcancer #baettrtogether

We believe in shaping a sustainable future, and our Baettr Graduate Program is created to empower talented individuals to do just that – becoming the managers of tomorrow by working on innovative projects, gaining hands-on experience, and collaborating with industry experts. With 3 rotations of 8 months each, a Baettr Graduate will experience being part of our HQ in Denmark as well as having at least 1 rotation at one of our local sites around the world. We were extremely pleased to receive a lot of applications, and this year it was Natalia Tekieli, Jakob Kristoffer Hansen and Sara Zeynalzade who joined our program on September 1. This week, they are visiting our foundry in Guldsmedshyttan, Sweden. Natalia has shared a few words on how the first 6 weeks have been: “It has been intense, exciting and full of possibilities, but it can also be a bit overwhelming. There is so much energy and curiosity buzzing all around, and I have loved meeting and collaborating with all my talented colleagues. My first rotation with the Global Operations team is focusing on improving Baettr’s operational transparency through data accuracy. I am fortunate to have been assigned tasks that align with my interests, allowing me to continue the work I began during my thesis. Last week, we kicked off #Hjerteugen (Heart Week) at our Denmark location, an initiative led by Nordea Pension to promote heart health in the workplace in week 39. Throughout the week, we focused on incorporating small but impactful exercises into our daily routines to raise awareness about heart health. 🧡 Employees participated in the activities, and for each completed exercise, they added a heart to our Heart Bingo poster. It has been a fun and engaging way to get moving during the day, sparking conversations, laughter, and a great team spirit. We did it! We have successfully retained our EcoVadis Bronze Medal and significantly improved our overall score from 2023. This year, we achieved a score of 62/100, a significant improvement from last year’s 55/100. 👏 Over the past months, collecting data for the submission was a global team effort lead by our Sustainability department, and the achievement is definitely a testament to our continued commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility worldwide. Moving forward, we will be striving to do even better by improving our policies, actions, and targets across all four EcoVadis areas Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement as we work toward earning an EcoVadis Silver Medal. To honor this impressive milestone, we organized local celebrations filled with speeches, delicious food, and gifts. We are truly grateful for the dedication and loyalty of employees like Lars, Jan, and Claus, whose ongoing commitment continues to drive our journey forward – even after 25 years! 💪 Lars and Jan were kind enough to share their thoughts on what has kept them thriving at Baettr. Jan Hemmingsen, from our CNC department, who has spent 22.5 years at Baettr’s Lem location, reflects: "I am still here after 25 years because I feel comfortable with what I do, and I enjoy my working hours. I work night shifts at the start of the week, which gives me a lot of free time and flexibility. Plus, the culture is great, and my colleagues are friendly." Lars Jørgensen, part of our HSE team and with us at Lem for 20 years, sums up his experience with Baettr in three (well, four!) words: "Exciting challenges, great colleagues, and responsive managers.
