Carl Hansen & Søn is proud to relaunch the BM0121 Dining Table.    Designed by Børge Mogensen in 1952, the table is his first circular, extendable design in the collection. Part of a series of democratic furniture presented at the Arts & Crafts Spring Exhibition in Copenhagen in 1952, the BM0121 Dining Table demonstrates Mogensen’s vision for functional, elegant design that adapts to modern living environments.    Seating up to six people with a pull-out extension leaf, the table has been revived from an older, original model. Carl Hansen & Søn is delighted to present the MT221 Tulip Pendant, created by Danish designer Marianne Tuxen in 2022. Driven by a dream of creating wonderful experiences through the medium of light, Tuxen has been shaping spaces through her lighting design since graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’s School of Architecture in 1985. Always in search of creating the perfect ambience, Tuxen’s work explores curves, proportions, materials, surfaces and their relation to light and shadow. Influenced by her background in sculpture, her Tulip Pendant is one such example of how these elements combine to form an understated, modern and sophisticated design. Designed for the renovation of Carlsberg founder J.C Jacobsen’s villa in Copenhagen (now the Carlsberg Academy), the Tulip Pendant has, until now, only adorned the inside of Pompeii Hall. Blending seamlessly into the decadent surroundings of the Italian-inspired conservatory, the MT221 Tulip Pendant adds a touch of understated, modern sophistication to the space. Inspired by the softly fluted shape of a tulip’s petals, the pendant features a three-layer mouth-blown white opal shade and elegant brass suspension.
