Brewing for a better today and tomorrow

Om os

This is the official LinkedIn channel of the Carlsberg Group. The Carlsberg Group was established in 1847 by brewer J.C. Jacobsen. J.C. Jacobsen was a true renaissance man. A believer in quality, research and serving the community, he shared his knowledge with fellow brewers. He looked to the future, prizing long-term growth over short-term gain. Today, Carlsberg Group is one of the leading brewery groups in the world, with a large portfolio of beer and other beverage brands. Our beer portfolio spans core beer brands, including local power brands and international premium brands, craft & speciality brands and alcohol-free brews. Our brands are enjoyed in more than 150 markets across Western Europe, Asia and Central & Eastern Europe, and we hold a number 1 or 2 position in more than 20 markets. We strive to brew better beers, today and tomorrow. Doing business responsibly and sustainably supports that purpose – and drives the efforts to deliver value for both our shareholders and the society. Carlsberg's relationship with science dates back to the founding of the Carlsberg Laboratory in 1875.   Our founder, J.C. Jacobsen, built the Lab to advance scientific knowledge in brewing and fermentation processes. His main goals were to improve the quality and consistency of beer, but so much more came out of the scientists' work.   The pH scale, just to mention one example.   This week, our love for science came full circle, when the Carlsberg Foundation celebrated the winners of the Carlsberg Foundation Research Prizes 2024, Rubina Raja and Jesper Qualmann Svejstrup.   "Rubina Raja is behind decisive breakthroughs in our understanding of dynamics between ancient urban communities within a broad geographical and cultural context. And Jesper Qualmann Svejstrup has provided fundamental, new insights into how our DNA is transcribed and repaired. Service - for the joy and benefit of all of us," Professor Majken Schultz, Carlsbergfondet's Chairman of the Board, said at the ceremony.   Her Majesty The Queen of Denmark and Danish Minister for Education and Research Christina Egelund presented this year’s prizes together with Majken Schultz, and the Prize Committee’s Chair, Mette Birkedal Bruun. #Innovation #Science #CarlsbergFoundation

Would you get married at a Heavy Metal festival? Finland has one of the highest numbers of heavy metal bands per capita in the world, making it a significant part of the Finnish cultural identity. Karhu, one of our local Finnish power brands, made a couple's dream come true this summer by hosting their wedding ceremony at the Tuska festival in front of 60,000 attendees. 39-year-old Minna Lohikoski and 41-year-old Lasse Kosonen are both metal music lovers and dreamed of having a wedding that felt like them. "This was everything we wanted from our wedding. Different, memorable, with friends together, music and fresh going! We are so happy that we were chosen. Minna is the love of my life," the groom says. This Finnish passion for heavy metal is often attributed to the Finnish appreciation for introspection, intensity, and deep, emotive expressions. And with beer being the favorurite drink of Finns, this wedding was an absolute match made in heavy metal heaven, just like the lucky couple 🖤 We wish you a lifetime of hoppiness! There are few finer things in life than sipping a cool beer at a hot summer festival. But for us, festivals are so much more. They not only bring people together and create unforgettable memories. They’re also a powerful platform to see our many brands in action and advance our long-term growth ambitions. At Dreamfest 2024 on the coast of the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan, Tuborg made waves with festival-goers, doubling its sales volume compared to last year. In Vietnam, the Huda brand continued its long-standing partnership with the Hue Festival to launch its new Huda Ice Twist, embodying their "Keep the Fun Going" campaign. In Denmark, our long-term partnership with the Roskilde Festival took on new dimensions with a focus on responsible drinking. And in Germany, the Somersby brand shone as sponsors of two large festivals, PAROOKAVILLE and San Hejmo. ...Just to mention a few examples! As we shut down the festival-season and say farewell to the Summer of 2024, enjoy these photos of some of the fun we had along the way 🫶

Introducing the next generation of Hoppy colleagues! All our new Graduates recently met with our CEO Jacob Aarup-Andersen and our CHRO Susanne Skippari to ask them anything. The session was also a chance for Susanne and Jacob to ask them - as representatives of the younger generation - what they expect from us as a company. Susanne and Jacob also shared their own early career experiences with the graduates, inspiring them with relatable stories on their first day in. The Carlsberg Graduate Programme is a two-year programme for early career individuals who have recently graduated and are ready to kick-off and accelerate their careers in the bubbly world of beer. Our new graduates started 2nd September and has joined within different tracks across the Group Functions and in Carlsberg Denmark. Every graduate program include different rotations. During the 2-year program, they will get the opportunity to get exposure to various facets of our business. Wishing a warm welcome to Carlsberg to all of you! 🍻

Carlsberg’s founder, J.C. Jacobsen, was often referred to as “a man of his time”. That is true because J.C. Jacobsen was deeply involved in society and the world around him: as a quality-conscious brewer; as an enterprising business leader; and as a politically, scientifically and culturally engaged and active citizen in a Denmark, a Europe and a world in constant flux. However, J.C. Jacobsen was also a man of the future. The brewer from Copenhagen not only embraced change; he actually helped create it by being visionary, challenging, open and magnanimous, and by always pursuing perfection regardless of what he was doing. Among other things, he founded the Carlsberg Foundation and, at the same time, donated his life's work - Carlsberg Brewery - to it. He wanted to make his wealth available to society. And he wanted to ensure that the Carlsberg brewery would never focus solely on business today, but also give thought to the future. More than 200 years after his birth, J.C. Jacobsen's legacy is also the Carlsberg Foundation’s and the Carlsberg Group’s beacon and benchmark. Our purpose of 'Brewing for a Better Today & Tomorrow' is continuing what J.C. Jacobsen started. Today is his birthday! Happy 213th, old man! ✨ You deserve a toast 🍻
