Working at sea should be free from bullying and harassment 🚫   As an industry, we face a significant, collective task: We must create a safer and psychologically secure work environment on our ships ⛴   Danish Shipping has published new Best Practice Guidelines to send a clear message: Working at sea should be healthy, safe and secure.   “At DFDS, we stand behind the new guidelines wholeheartedly. Our mission is to create an environment where every individual feels secure and comfortable when they come to work. Today, we release our Q2 financial results.     We navigated challenging markets and delivered organic growth and increased revenue. This was however more than offset by price and cost pressures, and the result is below our expectations.     🍀 During the quarter, we continued to make progress on our decarbonisation efforts, by reducing ferry emissions and expanding our fleet of electric trucks.    🎯 Our top priorities for the rest of the year are  to continue to protect key ferry markets, to turn Logistics’ earnings trend around and to keep executing our strategy to unlock the value of our expanded network while we transition to a greener company.    👉🏽 Read more in our Q2 report here:   https://lnkd.in/eDXwkxTA    #DFDS #WeMoveForAllToGrow #Q2results

We are nominated for Danish Shipping’s DEI Award 👏 We are really proud of this nomination as it reflects our continued efforts to improve Diversity, Equity and Inclusion on all levels of our organisation. Meet Iryna – after fleeing Ukraine she has found new footing at DFDS   In our #DFDSJourneys series, we aim to showcase diverse career paths within DFDS. This time, we are sharing Iryna Kalynych's unique journey 👇   She fled Ukraine with her son in the Spring of 2022, after Russia invaded the country.   She came to Denmark to build a new life, and after multiple interviews with several Danish companies, she found a job with DFDS as an Office Assistant in our warehouse in Taulov, Denmark 📦   Iryna quickly impressed her managers and colleagues and was soon offered the position as Business Coordinator in the warehouse, where she makes sure deliveries run smoothly 🚛   “Now that I have been at DFDS for a while I’m pleasantly surprised by how open and supportive the company culture is,” says Iryna.   She was surprised to find such a strong emphasis on work-life balance and employee well-being. The support and camaraderie among colleagues have made her transition to working in Denmark much smoother 🤝🏼   When she is not working, she enjoys open-water swimming 🏊♀️ “I find swimming in open water incredibly refreshing and invigorating. I recently participated in an ‘Oceanman’-marathon, where I swam for several hours in chilly waters,” says Iryna.   We are very impressed with Iryna’s journey and wish her continued success at DFDS and in Denmark 🙌   #DFDS #WeMoveForAllToGrow #CareerPath

See our Tanger Express shine in its new blue coat 💙 Since January FRS Iberia/Maroc has been a part of DFDS and we are happy that another ship has been painted to match our fleet 🙌 Tanger Express sails daily between Algeciras, Spain and Tanger Med, Morocco. A trip that takes 1,5 hours 🌊   More than 900 passengers can travel on the ferry, and it has a capacity for 344 vehicles 🚗🚙   We look forward to having you onboard ⛴️ #DFDS #WeMoveForAllToGrow #Ferry 

Norske Skog is actively working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout its entire value chain and has partnered with DFDS to attain more sustainable transport and supply chain solutions 🌍 ⛴ Together, we have launched several initiatives that will reduce Norske Skog's Scope 3 emissions from transport by up to 15% in 2024.
