Developer and provider of software, equipment and integrated system solutions supporting the maritime industries.
Om os
EIVA is an engineering company with more than 45 years’ experience in the offshore and shallow water construction and survey industry. We provide software, equipment, integrated system solutions, rental services, 24/7 support and software training to a wide range of segments, covering virtually any subsea task. The world is seeing a steady increase in operations at sea. This increase brings with it a need for solutions that will streamline the operations of organisations specialising in the opportunities offered by a ‘blue planet’, as well as ensure that these opportunities do not come at the expense of the environment. We know and understand the challenges our customers face, and we work closely together with them in choosing and implementing the solution that will offer the most value to their often mission-critical operations with all that implies. Our extensive customer base comprises organisations and companies from the international industry. This means that our staff are as familiar with the inside of aircraft cabins as they are with the seabed, due to their travels around the globe to assist our customers on-site.

Shipwreck 3D reconstruction | Have you seen this 3D model of the Endurance wreck (featured in a new documentary in cinemas)? It’s amazing to see what #subseatechnology can achieve 👏 Great work by Deep Ocean Search Ltd! We are proud of the high-quality subsea sensors of our sister companies Voyis and Sonardyne International Ltd, used in this 3D mapping inspection, along with our own #NaviSuite software for data visualisation. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gNZBDyPH Nico Vincent from Deep Ocean Search, who developed the technology for the scans, along with Voyis Imaging and McGill University, said the digital replica offers a new way to study the ship. ‘It’s absolutely fabulous. The wreck is almost intact like she sank yesterday,’ explaining that the scan could be used by scientists to study the sea life that has colonised the wreck, to analyse the geology of the sea floor, and to discover new artefacts. Want to read more shipwreck 3D modeling cases? https://lnkd.in/g26Rtne3 Interested in technologies for 3D digitisation of visual inspections? Together with Voyis, we’ve written an explainer on the two most common methods for 3D reconstruction from images, #VSLAM and #photogrammetry: https://lnkd.in/gqwrY2CQ Image courtesy of the Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust and National Geographic
