Global Wind Service (GWS) is one of the largest companies in Europe offering onshore and offshore installation and servicing of wind turbines around the world. And we do it with the right people, tools and flexibility to deliver the best possible solutions to the highest quality.

Today Fred. Olsen Ocean holds majority ownership of Global Wind Service.

Global Wind Service is delighted to announce we have been awarded a contract for RWE’s Thor Offshore Wind Farm project, further strengthening our position as a leading provider of offshore installation services. This contract focuses on the installation of 72 secondary structures on the monopile foundations. The Thor Offshore Wind Farm is located in the North Sea west of Nissum Fjord, Denmark. Installation of the secondary structures is scheduled for execution in 2025 and will see a dedicated team of 60 skilled technicians deployed across both white and blue-collar roles.
