We’re thrilled that Paula Campiña Monzon has chosen to work with our brand new intelligent tactile gripper tool in her Master project at the NRT-LAB at DTU - Technical University of Denmark supervised by Associate Professor Silvia Tolu . In her project, Paula will utilize the Graspian tool to develop a method for picking up objects from a desk, optimizing grip force control through motor current data and tactile feedback. She aims to refine how the gripper handles objects, focusing on precision and efficiency to reduce slippage and enhance manipulation accuracy. Will it be stylish? This was the question at one of our board meetings when we showed a first prototype of our new Intelligent Tactile Gripper. And yes, we think that our new tool is quite stylish thanks to great work MJID - Møller-Jensen Innovation & Design. In a short 4 week sprint they helped us design this sleek product design. Each finger on this new gripper is equipped with an array of tactile sensors, enabling the tool to determine an object's shape, location, and orientation within the gripper. The tactile feedback allows the gripper to pick objects from uncertain locations and deliver them with high accuracy to the desired position. Real-time detection of unexpected occurrences such as slippage, drops, and misplacements minimizes the risk of system failures, ensuring seamless operation. #robotics #tools #stylish #design #sprint
