🚍 Dear 45 students – come meet our innovative, local companies! 🚍 What an inspiring day! Today, we had 45 international students from SDU Sønderborg - University of Southern Denmark on a tour of some of our member companies in Southern Jutland. We visited Danfoss Drives, Beckhoff Automation, and FarmDroid, each of whom offered a unique opportunity for the students to explore their facilities. The aim was to enhance our members' visibility among the next generation and give students a firsthand look at the innovative work happening within our network. “Today was beyond my expectations – visiting different companies was incredibly valuable. Now, I just want to see even more!” – Muhammad Ehtisham Ahsan, Student at SDU This was more than just a company visit – it was an invaluable opportunity to start building early connections with potential future colleagues for the local companies. By bridging academia and industry, we hope to cultivate strong, meaningful relationships that may one day lead these students to one of our members. “I have no experience working in Denmark. It is very different from Pakistan, where I come from. It was truly inspiring, and I have learned so much already.” – Saad Usman, Student at SDU A huge thank you to SDU for a fantastic collaboration, and to all the companies for hosting us and sharing valuable insights with the students. Most importantly, thank you to all the students for making it a fantastic day! The activity is co-funded by EU Social Fund and the Danish Board of Business Development through the national project ‘Talent to a green Denmark' #OdenseRobotics #RoboticCareers #Collaboration

Future of workforce in the manufacturing and robotics industry in Northern Jutland!🦾 Yesterday's event, held in collaboration with Business Aalborg, highlighted the critical issue of attracting and retaining talent in an increasingly competitive manufacturing and robotics sector. Key Takeaways: 💙 Recruitment Should Focus More on the Person Behind the Talent than the Talent's Skills. Employees are often let go due to a poor cultural fit with the company rather than a lack of skills. This places greater demands on the interview process, as such qualities are often not evident from a CV. 📈 International Talent – A Growing Necessity More companies are hiring international candidates. However, to retain them for more than three years, companies must recognise that newcomers may lack a social network. Consider addressing language barriers, implementing an "international buddy system" within the company, and organising social activities. ✨ Local Talent Development Brian Juhl Lorentsen from Business Aalborg highlighted local job market trends, showing how businesses in Aalborg are adapting to these new challenges by creating internships, wage-subsidised roles, and engaging young talent through various growth programmes. It was an inspiring and informative session that showcased new approaches to recruitment and the complexity of international hiring. A big thank you to our speakers Brian Juhl Lorentsen, Jakob H., Mariola Kajkowska, and participants for sharing their valuable insights!👌 #TalentAttraction #Robotics #OdenseRobotics
