HCA Airport expands ✈️ The interest in locating drone companies at the airport has increased significantly, and HCA Airport is now expanding by 4 hectares in the business area towards Allesø. The airport’s unique test facilities and airspace are perfect for drone companies, which is why we have recently announced several companies moving there, including Thunderstrike and Altomaxx. The expansion will also be used for hangars and offices for private aircraft. New companies will be able to build the facilities and roads they need to ensure the best possible use of the location. The expansion is a unique opportunity to attract more drone companies to Odense. UAS Denmark Test Center's facilities make the area highly attractive, offering both new and established companies great opportunities to grow in Odense. 🚀 We look forward to seeing what the future holds at HCA Airport. 🌟

Last year, during Victor denmark open, one of the world’s largest badminton tournaments, Odense was showcased as a leading robotics city when robots took the stage alongside global badminton stars in the tournament’s finals and semifinals - the same will happen this year. 🤖 The arena will be invaded by robots, both helping on and off the court. It will be a place to showcase amazing robots and what they can do. Look forward to a reunion with the shuttlecock-delivery robot, the robot that helps carry bags, and the robot providing entertainment as it moves around the hall – and many more.✨ We are looking forward to cheering on the Danish participants, especially Viktor Axelsen, who is eager to play in his hometown again. For him, Odense is known for both its historical side and its future, which is dominated by the vision of Odense as one of the world’s leading robotics cities. The construction of the Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark's groundbreaking research center at Odense Harbor has now begun. 👏 The first sod has been turned for the ambitious Danish robotics center, SDU Center for Large Structure Production (LSP), which is expected to be completed in the fall of 2025. The project has been underway for 2.5 years, and now it's finally happening. 💫 The construction was welcomed by Mayor, Peter Rahbæk Juel, SDU principal, Jens Ringsmose Ringmose, LSP leader, Professor Christian Schlette, among others. LSP is already an active research center in a temporary building at Odense Harbor, but with the new building, they will have access to large robots and facilities. This means they can research areas that are expensive to work with and automate because it happens on such a large scale. “When our laboratory is completed in about a year's time, everything will be as we envisioned, not least our unique robot gantry crane, measuring 30 x 20 x 10 meters, which the building is specially designed for. It will make it possible to accelerate development” - Christian Schlette. Leader at LSP. Odense Robotics StartUp Fund is recognised as one of Europe's Leading startup hubs ✨ Financial Times is behind the survey, where no less than 2000 incubators were screened. The Odense Robotics StartUp Fund and its incubator at the Teknologisk Institut are collectively ranked number 36 on the list, which includes a total of 125 hubs from no less than 21 countries. The hubs are selected and evaluated by alumni and experts in the field 🤖 In fact, the fund and the incubator are the only ones on the list exclusively dedicated to robotics technology. This makes it nothing less than one of the best hubs for robot and drone startups in Europe.
