Behind the Lens on Production Day During that hazy stretch of late summer, we journeyed to the west coast of Sjælland to capture the new Lantern Portable Table Lamp, set to launch shortly. Below are a few images from behind the scenes that day: as the sun set, its amber light bathed the Danish shoreline, painting the beach with a soft glow. It was one of those still days that beckoned you to stay a little longer, to savour the outdoors in all its quiet beauty. Meet the designers: Panter & Tourron For Stefano Panterotto and Alexis Tourron, collectively known as Panter & Tourron, design is a way of understanding the spaces we move through—a bridge between our personal experiences and the rooms we inhabit. Together, they explore how design and form mediates our relationship with the world around us, crafting objects that echo the subtleties of these connections. The new Kite Pendant Lamp Series captures this—where light dances through the structure like sunlight through a kite, holding a delicate balance between form, nostalgia, and the human experience. The road has been long and tough, and few know that I’m an autodidact salesman with no formal education to support the vision of creating an internationally recognised design brand. I’ve tried different business ventures, working as an importer and agent for design brands like &Tradition, Tom Dixon, Magis, and DCW Editions—an experience I wouldn’t be without, one that equipped me with the knowledge to launch New Works in 2015. Like any beginning, it wasn’t easy; we faced financial setbacks and struggled to make the dream a reality. But resilience, along with a strong partnership with Knut Bendik Humlevik and Henrik Nicolai Hørdum Clausen, and the support of our remarkable team, designers, and loyal customers worldwide, has brought us here.
