𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫! ✅ 🛫 We are witnessing a growing demand for testing and proving drones in long-range missions. Fortunately, our expansive 3,000 km² airspace is designed precisely for this purpose. To fly BVLOS, all you need is a current permission from a civil aviation authority in Europe. However, despite significant progress with common European regulations over the past decade, obtaining such permission can still be challenging. The required documentation and lead times can be discouraging, potentially hindering commercial opportunities or technological advancements. At UAS Denmark Test Center, we offer guidance to help companies navigate these barriers and fly in our airspace. Contact us to learn more 📝 If time is of the essence, another option is to leverage an existing approval in the market. For example, Scandinavian Drone Solutions, Denmark’s first and only LUC-holder, has a certificate that allows them to self-certify operations within certain limits. If you need fast access to BVLOS, Scandinavian Drone Solutions can take your company under their wing, enabling you to be airborne BVLOS within approximately three weeks. Scandinavian Drone Solutions’ current approval is valid for BVLOS flights under PDRA-G03 for drones up to 3 meters wingspan, with an impact energy of 34 KJ and some basic requirements for the drone (close to production-ready). Alternatively, the approval also facilitates VLOS flights with larger platforms and higher impact energy. The LUC permit can be utilized either with Scandinavian Drone Solutions formally operating the system or with your company conducting the operation based on prior training in the relevant procedures. Advancing C-UAS Innovation: NextGen Drones Project Phase 2 🙌 We are excited to share the latest progress in the NextGen Robotics Drones project at UAS Denmark Test Center. As part of the C-UAS (Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems) innovation project in phase 2, we have successfully conducted red-blue team exercises and integrated sensors on a common platform. This milestone is a significant step towards developing and testing an integrated multi-sensor C-UAS system. Our collaboration with leading companies such as Bionic System Solutions, Circle Scope, MyDefence, Quadsat, and Weibel Scientific, along with advanced algorithm development by the Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, has been instrumental in achieving this progress. The red-blue team exercises have provided valuable insights and feedback, allowing us to refine our systems and enhance their effectiveness. By simulating real-world scenarios, we ensure that our solutions are robust and ready to meet the challenges of modern airspace security. We are grateful for the support from the Danish Business Promotion Agency and our partners, which has enabled us to push the boundaries of C-UAS technology. This project not only strengthens our position as a leading test center but also contributes to the global advancement of drone safety and innovation. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to drive forward with cutting-edge solutions in the field of unmanned aerial systems. The project is supported by EU, Danish Board of Business Development and headed by HCA Airport. #UASDenmark #NextGenDrones #CUAS #DroneInnovation #AviationSafety #RedBlueTeam #SensorIntegration

NAVIGATING THE HYPE CYCLE OF AAM 🦾 For over a year, the NextGen Robotics AAM project, spearheaded by HCA Airport and supported by various key partners, has been taking the first steps toward transforming the transportation sector through the analysis and demonstration of sustainable and flexible air mobility solutions. Central to this initiative is the implementation of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and the establishment of vertiports to connect areas with varying population densities. The primary objective is to develop a business model for eVTOL operations and vertiports, followed by an action plan to establish a nationwide infrastructure for these technologies. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐭𝐨: ▶️ Map opportunities for building a business around autonomous passenger and cargo drones (eVTOL). ▶️ Conduct demonstration flights with eVTOLs to uncover challenges and opportunities. ▶️ Utilize the Experience-based Designing (XbD) method to ensure user-centric design and positive user experiences. ▶️ Identify barriers and opportunities for the commercialization of eVTOL solutions. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞: ▶️ Knowledge and experience mapping ▶️ Route and on-demand flight calculations ▶️ Screening and selection of eVTOL developers ▶️ Demonstration flights ▶️ Developing a commercialization strategy The project partners include Copenhagen Helicopter, Copenhagen AirTaxi® A/S, Skypuzzler, Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark and HCA Airport. 🤝 As the headline suggests, we have – together with the industry - already gained valuable insights, and continue to adapt the project to the evolving market and technological landscape. Moving forward, we’ll be sharing our joint findings here — so stay tuned! #uas #drones #dronetechnology #droneinnovation #airmobility #eVTOL #partnership

Meet MyDefence - one of the tenants in our business park 👋 MyDefence offers C-UAS solutions - so-called counter drone technology - developed to detect drones, which are primarily used by the company’s military customers. However, to meet the demand, MyDefence is also working to apply its technology to civilian customers in areas such as critical infrastructure, private companies, prisons and police. The company has for many years been using the facilities at HCA Airport and UAS Denmark Test Center, where they have an office. Here, MyDefence has their C-UAS equipment connected for use in demos and for product development, which they can turn on and off remotely at any time. “For MyDefence, it is highly valuable to be present at the airport and test center, which serves as an epicenter for the drone industry with lots of activity in the airspace and interaction with a wide range of payers from the drone and counterdrone industry. We benefit from our engagement with the other companies at the airport, and our systems complement each other well. As an example, our system only gets better when it is coupled with other technologies - all of which we can demonstrate live at the test center,” says Christian Clemmensen Møller, Director, Business Development at MyDefence.
