Today, Odense Port hosted the North Seas Ministerial Meeting 2024. 🌍 At the port, important topics such as Europe's future energy security were discussed. This included how we can set up 20,000 offshore wind turbines in the North Sea by 2050, and how it can create as many jobs as possible in Europe. Additionally, they focused on laying out a plan to maintain Denmark and other European countries' leading position in green renewable energy, and Odense Port provides the perfect setting for this: "Odense Port at Lindø is a textbook example on how to successfully transition from black to green industry while creating a lot of jobs for various professions" – Minister for Climate, Energy, and Utilities, Lars Aagaard. Several European ministers met today, including the EU’s Energy Commissioner, leaders from the wind industry, and representatives from the European Investment Bank. 🙋♂️ The North Sea cooperation aims to ensure that Denmark remains a leader in the green transition, and here are Odense Port a great example of renewal through green transformation. 💪 The mayor of Odense, Peter Rahbæk Juel, is also very pleased with the development of Odense Port: "My ambition is for us in Odense to create 30,000 new private sector jobs in the next decade. The continued development of Odense Port as a center for the production of more and larger offshore wind turbines will play a key role in this." We are proud of the recognition of Odense Port as a central player in future opportunities to be a leading force in the green transition. 💚 📸 Odense Port

Sofie Carsten Nielsen will speak at the Biosolutions conference in Odense🌱 We’re proud to highlight Sofie Carsten Nielsen, Director, DI Biosolutions, European Biosolutions Coalition, who will be speaking at this year’s Biosolutions Conference in November, hosted at Forskerparken in the City of Odense. But what exactly are biosolutions? Biosolutions rely on nature’s own processes - using biological processes and natural organisms - to reduce our global dependence on fossil fuels, ensure cleaner water, and promote sustainable food production. From agriculture to energy, these innovations are transforming industries by replacing chemical solutions with nature’s own toolkit. Denmark is at the forefront of the European biosolutions movement, making significant contributions to global sustainability efforts. Sofie and the Coalition are creating more accessible framework conditions to accelerate the adoption, innovation and implementation of biosolutions. 👉 Join us at the Biosolutions Conference in Odense to hear Sofie’s valuable insights and learn how biosolutions are shaping our future. 🔗 Find the event on our website: https://lnkd.in/dvQE7n9t 🤝 Or reach out to our investment manager within Biotech and Life Science, Lone Knudsen Krogsbøll. HCA Airport expands ✈️ The interest in locating drone companies at the airport has increased significantly, and HCA Airport is now expanding by 4 hectares in the business area towards Allesø. The airport’s unique test facilities and airspace are perfect for drone companies, which is why we have recently announced several companies moving there, including Thunderstrike and Altomaxx. The expansion will also be used for hangars and offices for private aircraft. New companies will be able to build the facilities and roads they need to ensure the best possible use of the location. The expansion is a unique opportunity to attract more drone companies to Odense. UAS Denmark Test Center's facilities make the area highly attractive, offering both new and established companies great opportunities to grow in Odense. 🚀 We look forward to seeing what the future holds at HCA Airport. 🌟
