The Nordic PropTech Awards is all about cross-Nordic collaboration, and therefore we’re happy and honoured to announce Finnish Granlund as sponsor for the 2025 Awards! The cross-Nordic juries have by now looked over 100+ pitch decks across the six award-tracks for the upcoming Nordic PropTech Awards. The finalists will be announced at Recotech in Helsinki on November 20th – where you will have the opportunity to network and meet representatives from Granlund to learn about their lifecycle approach to real estate and construction 🔜 On partnering with the Nordic PropTech Awards, Ville Reinikainen, Business Development Executive at Granlund, elaborates: “The Nordic PropTech Awards offers valuable insight into the latest technological advancements in the property sector. As high-quality data often forms the foundation of these new solutions, we are committed to sharing our own data with competition participants. The idea that "good things come to those who wait" is not always true... As you can read in Børsen Ejendom today in Michael Ambjorn's op-ed, "Den der venter, kommer højst sandsynligt for sent" ("Those who wait will most likely be too late"), water really and truly is coming. As water levels rise, data insights are becoming increasingly essential to mitigate current and future risks, prevent damages, and ensure compliance with requirements such as ESG reporting. 🌊 A range of proptech companies already have solutions and data regarding water; from covering building sites to finding (and resolving) where the water is coming from; and while no one has all the answers, as Sophie Hæstorp Andersen said in the opening speech at Building Green DK this morning, we need to move forward while simultaneously developing the solutions – forging the path as we go. We simply cannot afford to wait until the technology is fully in place, or else we will certainly be too late. If you’re curious to learn more about water, you can read the article in today’s paper – or stop by BLOX for a talk about water (or other challenges and solutions in real estate) and a cup of coffee ☕ Sofie Venndt, Kajsa Sjunnesson, Laura Katzensteiner, Ella Faurschou Aaby, Stine Grønnegaard, Sara Lerer, Scalgo, Søren Enrico Als, Institut for Fugtteknik, Peter Hebin Bruun, SiteCover A/S, Jacob Maintz, Smartvatten | Understanding Water, Kamstrup, Water Impact Partners

On Tuesday we spent an insightful afternoon in Thylander’s beautiful head quarters for another round of our Forum for Real Estate Data with an engaged group of members sharing learnings, challenges and insights. 📊 The topic at hand was REAL ESG Data and how to get hold of the data needed for using the new REAL ESG reporting tool with presentations from Christian Haaber Westergaard Nielsen, Head of ESG, Thylander & Christian Gjessing Bruun, Head of ESG & Sustainability at AKF. 🔑 One key point was that it is better to get started than to do nothing. You don’t have to have all your data in place and necessarily have bought a lot of digital tools. Then processes can be improved along the way. ☝️ Another key point that our presenters shared was that they do the reporting even thought they don’t have all data points yet. Those ahead on ESG reporting, in this case Thylander and AKF, have a very down to earth and practical approach. In some cases e.g. manually counting the gender quotas or spending extra time adding the emission factors of the building. For those eager to avoid the heavy manual tasks, we were also presented with a lot of proptech solutions that are offering to collect and automate the data collections – among others we looked into North ESG, Legacy: Carbon Accounting for Real Estate, Propbinder, Upsite, ejendom.com & proprty.ai The discussion also included the benefits of setting up a datawarehouse for one source of truth. This enables converting data into business insights that can then be transformed into stories supporting both the ESG-agenda overall and the understanding of it in the organisations – ultimately impacting decision making. 🌿 Thank you for sharing your approachs and learnings to Christian Haaber Westergaard Nielsen & Christian Gjessing Bruun – and a special thanks to Thylander for hosting the event. Interested in acquiring new skills and actionable insights? Sign up for upcoming events that match your needs – and bring along your favourite colleagues to share the experience: 🎉 Member Meetup (November 7th) 🛠️ Workshop on Innovation Tools for improving tenant experience (November 18th) 🎓 Masterclass in Digital Strategy (November 26th) Pst: Link to all events found in comments below👇 Kajsa Sjunnesson, Sofie Venndt, Michael Ambjorn, Laura Katzensteiner, Ella Faurschou Aaby, Stine Grønnegaard, Paw de Sparra Lundin, Jesper Holm Bitzer, Michael Dyhr Sørensen, Simone Gramkow
