A delegation of lawyers representing the firm’s US-Middle East initiative had a productive and exciting week in Doha, Qatar. We partnered with MENA Women in Law (MENA-WIL) to host a half-day conference on Digital Finance and Law at the beautiful St. Regis Doha, where Dr. Ehab Elsonbaty (PhD), partner and chair of the initiative, gave welcome remarks along with DLA Piper colleagues and former U.S. Senators Saxby Chambliss and Richard Burr. Later, partner and co-chair of our global compliance team Katrina Hochstetler Hausfeld spoke on a panel discussing Corporate Governance in the Age of AI and Technology. That evening, we hosted a networking cocktail reception at the St. Regis where Senators Chambliss and Burr, along with partner Ignacio Sanchez, offered their perspectives on 2025 regarding the change in administration and its impact on US-Middle East investment. We look forward to continuing our visits to the region and connecting with clients, colleagues and friends in Qatar! #USMiddleEast #Qatar #GCC
