🚨🤓Nerd Alert!🤓🚨 New Research Paper Published 🗞 At Spirii, we're committed to participating in various research projects, because we believe in the power of collaboration to develop the smartest, most innovative, and future-proof charging solutions.   One such project is #e2flex, where we explored how charging preferences impact consumption patterns and potential grid challenges, like synchronized consumption.   Building on #e2flex, our brilliant colleagues Torben Fog and Malthe Thingvad teamed up with Haris Ziras, Ghaffar Yousefi and Tilman Weckesser from DTU Wind and Energy Systems to write a research paper about electric vehicle charging behavior, analysing real data from a large number of residential EV users from 2021- 2023. Their insightful analysis has been published in the Electric Power Systems Research journal on Elsevier.   💡 Key Insights:   ⚡ With the advent of smart charging tools, EV users are increasingly utilizing more flexible charging options. ⚡ More people are charging their EVs after midnight to save money with lower electricity prices. ⚡ While this trend is great for cost savings, it can stress the power grid. ⚡ Striking a balance between cost savings and grid sustainability is crucial.   🔋 Spirii’s Stance: We believe that closer industry collaboration is key to developing smart, innovative solutions that balance all needs.
