Yesterday, we hosted our first ever Talent Acquisition Breakfast Event and it was a huge success. 🌟 Together with our partners at SmartRecruiters (hi Paul Marchant and John Stopforth 👋), we invited some of the biggest names in Talent Acquisition to enjoy some breakfast with us at the Starred office in the heart of Copenhagen. The plan was to do some networking, facilitate conversations around Candidate Experience and inspire TA professionals to pioneer candidate-centric recruitment in their hiring strategies. Based on the passionate roundtable discussions we had, it's safe to say it worked. 👀 Hearing about the challenges, initiatives and successes in the Candidate Experience space from companies like A.P. Moller - Maersk, Novo Nordisk, GN Group, JYSK, Demant, Lundbeck, Tactile Games, Danske Bank, Deloitte and many more is like music to our ears. 🎶 And it looks like we should start planning the next one soon. 🤯 Would you be keen to attend? Another example that feedback is king. 👑
I've just recieved my favorite rejection letter I recently applied for a job at Starred.com as product designer. While I didn't get the job, I recieved feedback for the first time in 40 applications. Here's a snippet of what they said: "We believe that your works are more UX and research driven rather than UI and visually driven, which is really good, but doesn’t match with our expectation from our future colleague. We would like that position to be more visually inclined, rather than technically inclined. - With our job announcement we were aiming to get people with previous mid, slightly senior, experiences. We believe that you’re still in your early stages (mostly from an UI and visual standpoint) and unfortunately we’re not able to provide at this moment a learning curve that you deserve." It might take time to give this kind of feedback to all applicants, but the difference it makes can barely be put into words.... So sincerely, thank you Starred.com, I hope other companies start following your example in the future
