[#Breakingnews] 🇩🇪 We are pleased to share that Shell Deutschland GmbH awarded us an Engineering, Procurement and Fabrication contract to supply Electrical Tubular Heater for Shell’s Base Oil Distillation Unit in Wesseling, Germany. [#LifeatAxens] 📣 An update on our second para-athlete partner: after an exciting match in the Para Tennis Table Men’s Singles quarter finals, Maxime THOMAS’s 2024 Paralympic journey has come to a close. But what a journey it has been! Our #AxensTeams are incredibly proud of Maxime. Earlier this year, at one of his training sessions, we got a glimpse of just how much goes into the making of a world champion (he’s a five-time Paralympic medalist!). 🏓💪 And we were at the edge of our seats as he fought for every point in this final match. Now, he’s sharing yet another lesson with us: that after every defeat, even those following years of dedication and intense preparation, we can still rise up and look toward the future. Maxime is embodying this now, showcasing his humility and acknowledging the excellence of his opponents. We are honored to be your partner, Maxime! [#LifeatAxens] Manon GENEST, one of our two para-athlete partners, is officially a Paralympic medalist of the 2024 Paris Paralympics! 🥉 📣 Our #AxensTeams cheered her on at Stade-de-France Sunday evening during the Para Athletics finals…  … And continued to shout our pride as she took the podium to accept the Bronze for her spectacular Long Jump performance. 👏 Though this marks Manon’s first Paralympic win, it’s not her first time bringing home an internationally renowned medal as a young mother. 💪 🚼   Manon is full of the passion, power, and dedication that it takes to handle motherhood and a full-time career, especially that of a professional athlete.   Here at Axens, she also reminds us of the importance support systems play in ensuring working mothers can thrive. It’s both people – the coaches, colleagues, family members and friends – and workplace policies – ample time for maternity leave, for example – that bring us all to the podium. [#Breakingnews] 🇦🇷 We are delighted to share a recent key project milestone achieved throughout our 10-year journey with YPF at its Ensenada Refinery site in La Plata, #Argentina In the context of YPF’s flagship Ensenada unit start-up completion: • We successfully completed this year commissioning activities for YPF including site inspections, unit preparation, #catalyst & #adsorbents loading and activation, oil-in process, unit start-up and stabilization, as well as and Performance Guarantee Test Run (PGTR). • This milestone follows on from our initial involvement on YPF’s Ensenada Refinery site back in 2014, when we performed the licence and process book, including the design of the unit, basic engineering, and first provision of our catalysts and Sulfur adsorbents #NaphtaHydroteatment application. We wish to congratulate the #YPFteams for this innovative and key project for Argentina’s energy development. We are also highly grateful to our customer YPF for their continued trust in our services and technologies, especially for selecting us again - after the EPC process was performed on site over the past decade - allowing us to come back this year on site in La Plata to contribute to their successful project start-up. Present across 9 offices in the Americas, we have been further expanding our 2-decade-long presence in Latin America, where we notably focus in the area of oil refining, petrochemical, gas and alternative fuels in this region. [#NaturalGas] HySWEET™ is our hybrid process for the simultaneous removal of #mercaptans and acid gases from natural gas. ✅ The removal of these component is necessary for the liquefaction of sweet gas, and is also required to meet pipeline transportation specifications.   💡 Developed by TotalEnergies and commercialized by Axens, HySWEET™ maximizes the removal of mercaptans along with the absorption of the acidic species. At the same time, it has lower #hydrocarbon co-absorption, which can be an issue with other hybrid solvents that can be potentially harmful for the downstream #SulfurRecovery unit treating the recovered acid gas stream.
