At We Are Entrepreneurs, we’re dedicated to teaching entrepreneurship to adults, but it’s always refreshing to see how these skills are nurtured from an early age here in Denmark. Today, Diana had the pleasure of being a judge at a high school biotech pitching session, where students presented innovative solutions focused on probiotics, food waste reduction, and healthy eating. It’s an honor to participate in these events each year, witnessing firsthand how creative and resourceful these young minds are. It's not just about learning science or business – it's about learning how to think critically, solve problems, and innovate. As we know, entrepreneurship is increasingly becoming a viable career path, especially with the rise of the gig economy and the evolving job market. In fact, statistics show that nearly 30% of the global workforce is involved in the gig economy, and many are starting their entrepreneurial journeys earlier than ever before. The economic and social landscape is shifting, and with it, the likelihood of more individuals pursuing entrepreneurship continues to grow. We’re thrilled to play a small part in helping foster these essential skills and to interact with the future innovators and business leaders of Denmark each year. Here’s to more inspiring moments, both in the classroom and beyond! A shout out to Fonden for Entreprenørskab - Sjælland and NEXT - UDDANNELSE KØBENHAVN for making it happen. What an amazing day at Next Pitch at NEXT - UDDANNELSE KØBENHAVN Enghøj Campus! 🌟 Today, I had the pleasure of watching some incredible high school biotech students pitch their creative business ideas. Their energy, passion, and innovative thinking truly blew me away. These young minds are shaping the future of gut health, and it's inspiring to see them tackle real (and sometimes imaginary) problems with such enthusiasm. A special shout-out to the Handelsskolen profile class for their fantastic ideas around food waste and healthy eating! They explored some seriously cool technology, like product scanners for freshness and recipe generators — paving the way for smarter, more sustainable choices in the kitchen. 👏 It was inspiring to see the inventive ways they’re thinking about improving how we eat and reduce waste. A big thanks to all the students, teachers, and everyone involved for working so hard to bring entrepreneurial thinking into technical subjects. It’s no small feat to turn complex science into practical solutions — but these future biotech leaders are already on it! Care to guess what the products were? 👇 - Probibite - Proenergy - Profraiche - Prodip You can tell their gut is leading them in the right direction 😉! Here’s to more days of seeing young minds apply their knowledge in such creative ways! These images are copyright protected. Thank you Fonden for Entreprenørskab - Sjælland for supporting this initiative and for the invitation to participate. I have a blast each year. Christian Greve Lars Pinholt Maybrit Christensen
