🚀 IMCA Workshop 2025 🚀  📢 The second edition of the Investment Mobilisation Collaboration Alliance annual workshop has just concluded in Stockholm (Feb18-19). This gathering brought together global partners and observers to reconnect and advance efforts in mobilising climate and sustainable investments for emerging markets and developing economies. This year, we were excited to take the opportunity to reflect on lessons learned after launching three finance windows since creating IMCA, strengthen the coordination between members aligning on priorities moving forward, welcominge ClimateWorks Foundation as a new observer, and discussing ways to continue to more effectively draw private capital towards markets most in need.  Following the workshop, IMCA has:  🔹 Explored strategies to further mobilise millions of USD in private capital and enhance the impact of the three financing windows (BFET, AFW and GVCA). 🔹 Defined Strategic Priorities for 2025, including potential  launch of a new financing window focused on adaptation   🔹Outlined key events where IMCA will be featured for 2025 including London Climate Week and COP30, and decided to host the next in-person workshop in Helsinki in 2026  🔹 Reflected on the impact of recent geopolitical changes for the alliance going forward and welcomed ClimateWorks Foundation into the Alliance to continue US engagement  Participants also had the opportunity to engage with and hear from key representatives including:   🌍 The Center for Development Finance Studies  🌍 Convergence  🌍 OECD - OCDE DAC  🌍 Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs A special thank you to Sida for hosting us in Stockholm, and to all participants for their valuable contributions! 🙌 📅 Stay tuned for upcoming IMCA engagements and the full 2025 Event Roadmap! #IMCA2025 #BlendedFinance #SustainableInvestment #ClimateFinance #GlobalCollaboration #ImpactInvesting

🌍 Driving Climate Investment Action in 2025 🌍 On the 30th of January, members and partners of the Climate Investment Coalition (CIC) came together for the first CIC Global Meeting of the year. Established five years ago, CIC has mobilised $130 billion in green investment commitments by 2030. While early efforts focused on long-term net-zero pledges, the priority now is immediate, tangible investment action. A key focus of the meeting was defining priorities for 2025 to shape the global climate investment agenda. 🔎 Key Investment Challenges Discussed:  ✅ Navigating Inconsistent Regulatory Frameworks to mitigate risk, ✅ Closing the Capital Gap in Emerging Markets to attract private investment, ✅ Leveraging Innovative Financial Instruments. 💡 One key takeaway from the discussion:  “In terms of rebranding sustainability – leave the old language and talk about actions, measures, resilience, and independence from fossil fuels."
