Andres Meesak, a leading figure of Estonian renewable energy industry joined Viru Elektrivõrgud as the Head of Smart Energy Solutions. Andres himself says about the matter: "Talking about solar electricity generation, storage, EV charging or energy-efficiency renovation of buildings, the economic benefit to a large extent depends on how the solutions are implemented. I see raising people's awareness and counseling as my first task. The development of Ida-Virumaa has always been very interesting to me, and when Ivo Järvala and Marek-Andres Kauts invited me to join the Viru Elektrivõrgud team, there was not much time needed for the decision." Andres Meesak has previously worked as the head of the Estonian Solar Electricity Association, as the CEO of the tire manufacturer Wolf Tyres, and as Sony's representative in Estonia. #greentransition #IdaViru

🔌 Viru Elektrivõrgud first public electric vehicle charging station was opened in #Narva. All electric car owners are welcome at Paul Kerese st. 11. Using the charging station is very easy. To do this, you have to scan the QR code there with your smart device and follow the further instructions. 💰 Since the charging price depends on the current price of the NordPool electricity exchange, it is smart to visit the charging point during sunny daytime hours, when the price of electricity is cheap due to solar power plants, or during low consumption hours at night. Of course, you are also welcome at other times. The charging station is a product of the Estonian manufacturer VOOL and it is their first public charger in Ida-Virumaa. Do you want a charging point at your home or company?
