Acumen Consulting is a boutique management consulting firm specializing in supporting SMEs & the start-up ecosystem. Acumen is built on a mindset of utilizing innovative data analytics and cross disciplinary analysis to empower governments, organizations, incubators, and small and medium enterprises to make better business decisions. The creation of Acumen Consulting was driven by the void in the market between Western business concepts that do not apply to our Middle Eastern business dynamic and domestic traditional business methods that have failed at keeping up with the pace of global economic change. Hence, we currently find ourselves at a unique point in business history where the business community is actually in need of re-inventing the proverbial wheel. This situation mandates a domestic government framework that is able to respond with great agility to the market changes and strike a balance between its socioeconomic obligations and growth pressures. Acumen Consulting aims to step in to empower the government and the public sector at large to do so; through enhancing decision making ability and providing consulting in policy & strategy design as well as implementation support. Our success in this mission relies on our core team of seasoned economists with extensive business experience as well as our rapidly growing network of industry-specific professionals. Acumen creates a platform for visionaries, professionals & academia to come together and find novel solutions to complex & multifaceted issues. We are seeking an experienced HR & Admin Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR and administrative management within the consulting industry. This role is crucial to ensuring our operations run smoothly and our team remains motivated, productive, and engaged. Key Responsibilities: Human Resources Management: - Oversee recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding. - Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals and legal requirements. - Manage employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts. - Administer compensation, benefits, and performance appraisal systems. - Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth. - Ensure compliance with labor laws and industry regulations. Administrative Management: - Supervise and manage daily administrative operations, including office management, facilities maintenance, and vendor relations. - Oversee the procurement of office supplies and equipment. - Manage company records, including contracts, agreements, and employee files. - Coordinate company events, meetings, and travel arrangements. - Implement and maintain efficient administrative systems and processes. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. - Proven experience as an HR & Admin Manager, preferably within the consulting industry. - In-depth knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and best practices. - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Egypt’s recent move to devalue the Egyptian pound was met with mixed sentiments among entrepreneurs. It’s the latest in a series of devaluations since March 2022 as the country struggles to cope with its worst foreign currency crisis. Mohamed El Rashidy, Vice President of Kemet Medical, a company that sells medical equipment to hospitals, labs, and research centers, says that the ongoing devaluations have strained his business for cash. Sandra Farid, founder of Acumen Consulting Egypt and former economic adviser to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, says the latest move to devalue and free-float the pound was necessary. Meanwhile, Nadia Gamal El Din, Founder of Rahet Bally Co., a financial platform, focuses on her customers’ essential needs. “We stopped expanding on fitness and facilities and focused instead on the super app, giving access to discounts on supermarkets, pharmacies, schools, nurseries, and clinics,” says El Din.
