Voilà, a package of more than 50 new articles on AI, from all angles. This is something I have been working on for the last two years: a new publication project dedicated to the societal implications of artificial intelligence. I am thrilled to now share the result—"AI in Society", a cross-disciplinary initiative with Oxford University Press. AI in Society is quite unique in scope and ambition. It brings together leading thinkers from across disciplines to engage with the transformative effects of AI through eleven thematic units: 1. Personhood — Section Editors: Samantha-Kaye Johnston, David Gunkel 2. Environments — Josh Gellers, Henrik Skaug Sætra 3. Health and Wellbeing — Rema Padman 4. Research and Education — Matthew J. Dennis, Michael Zimba 5. Work — Hannah Johnston, Valerio De Stefano 6. Relationships — Henry Shevlin 7. Culture, Art, and Knowledge Work — Saba Bebawi 8. Governance — Charlton McIlwain, Margaret Hu 9. Business, Industry, and Finance — Florian Möslein, Mari Sako 10. Conflict — Dov Greenbaum 11. Majority World — Rachel Adams, Fola Adeleke, Urvashi Aneja, Leah Davina Junck, PhD Peer-reviewed articles will now be published on a rolling basis; more than 50 are out already. A huge shout-out to all Section Editors, who have done most of the heavy lifting in commissioning and reviewing the articles over the past months. Great work! I am also deeply grateful to our outstanding advisory board— Prof Sandra Wachter, Shannon Vallor, Vanessa Evers, Eric Perakslis PhD, Juan Pablo Pardo-Guerra, Geoff Cox, Nagla Rizk, and Takayuki Ito—for their guidance and support throughout this endeavour. Thanks also to Sarah Humphreville and Ann Cavers for steering the ship so expertly at OUP.
