Next November 11, we invite you to one of the +50 scientific #outreach activities organized by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid for all audiences to discover the university's R&D+I. Our workshop explores the research being carried out by the #SESAR3JU-funded E-CONTRAIL project: ✈️ ☁️ How are #contrails generated by airplanes formed and what is their climatic impact? You will be able to find out in two experiments. 🖥️ 🌍 In addition, using computers, we will show you the techniques for their detection and analysis through #satellite images and #AI algorithms. 🛩️ We are back from #AeroMetSci2024, where the #KAIROS project showcased its groundbreaking AI research in #aviation meteorology💡. From the AI METHODS team, Iván Martínez Vidal and Damiano Brunori captivated the audience with their insights on #AI Convection Prediction. Meanwhile, Nicolas Manzano Carretero and Javier Ballester Jack explored the potential of AI in enhancing #airport visibility and tracking #dust and SO2 through engaging posters. Representing the Aircraft Operations Lab UC3M, Bûn-Kim SAN showcased an insightful poster titled: "Physic-Informed AI for Low-Level Windshear Nowcasting and Wind Field Reconstruction".
