Starting September 2023, our dedicated team led the project from design to installation, ensuring the highest safety standards. With collaboration across the UK, Malaysia, and Singapore, the final installation on-site in Malaysia was executed in March and April 2024. This project highlights the importance of heat shielding to protect both equipment and personnel from the high-risk environment of offshore vessels. Our expert rope access team ensured the precise and safe execution of the heat shielding installation on the drilling mast. Our team in Brazil showcases the ELIOS 3 drone during the #ROG2024 event in Río. ELIOS 3 is a drone created specifically for inspecting confined and hard-to-reach spaces equipped with a LiDAR sensor for 3D mapping. Confined spaces like tanks and pressure vessels pose inspection risks. Our UAV services offer a safer, more efficient alternative, providing accurate data for better decision-making and maintenance. Day 240 / 366 Fantastic to see Cammy Gibbons out on site performing Hydroform Corrosion Mapping on pipework to identify Microbiologically Induced Corrosion (MIC) for Applus+ MIC is a form of corrosion caused by living organisms such as bacteria, algae or fungi and can be near impossible to find with conventional UT as some of the pits found have been 2mm x 2mm or smaller. Most common materials of construction including carbon and low alloy steels, 300 Series SS and 400 Series SS, aluminium, copper and some nickel base alloys.
