We are pleased to welcome Danielle Shang to CIMAM! Danielle Shang is a Los Angeles-based curator, writer, and art historian, serving as the Overseas Artistic Director of Cc Art Foundation. Her research delves into the effects of globalization, urban renewal, social change, and class restructuring on art-making and the broader narrative of art history. Recently, her work has concentrated on examining how artists in the Global South engage with the decentralized informal economy to create works that are later disseminated through the institutionalized formal systems of the global art world. #Welcome 💙 to #CIMAM! For the second time in CIMAM's history, Los Angeles will host its Annual Conference—34 years after the first.
