✨ We’re thrilled to introduce the outstanding professionals who make up the #ICOMAward jury. ✨ Catherine Cole has been a heritage consultant, working throughout Canada and internationally for 30 years. Previously she worked as a curator and heritage interpreter for museums and historic sites in Alberta and Ontario. Most of Catherine’s recent projects have focused on Indigenous heritage and reconciliation; she is a member of ICOM’s Working Group on Decolonisation and the Secretary of ICOM Canada. In 2022, she coauthored a report on Indigenous Heritage and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples for Canada’s Indigenous Heritage Circle. She was Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Association of Museums from 2014-2020 and in that capacity focused on sustainable development throughout the Commonwealth. Catherine has been committed to sustainable development since the early 1990s when she was the Head of the Department of Culture, Environment and Tourism for the Western Province of the Solomon Islands. 🔔 Stay tuned to learn more about the #ICOMAward jury members! 🌍
