🚀 NeoGiANT H2020 project Review Meeting Successfully Concluded in Santiago de Compostela! 🇪🇸 Yesterday, the NeoGiANT H2020 project consortium wrapped up an intense and productive Review Meeting in Santiago de Compostela! We evaluated the progress of each work package and set clear objectives for the final months of the project. With the finish line in sight, we are more committed than ever to delivering impactful results in the fight against antimicrobial resistance in animal health. 🐄🔬🌱 During our visit, we had the opportunity to explore the i-Grape Laboratory, S.L., where we witnessed firsthand the amazing work being carried out. The #SMURF consortium is holding its 3rd General Assembly this week at the Università degli Studi di Firenze. Our coordinating partner #Cesefor shares the advances -which are many- of this exciting project, among others: ✴️ the second call for cascade funding for European forest partnerships, to be launched in March 2025. ✴️ the organisation of the 1st European Conference of small forest holdings, to be held in Rome from 20-22 May 2025. ✴️la creation of a European network for knowledge transfer and support to technical staff of forestry associations. 🌍 Advancing Innovation: 8th General Assembly of the BeonNAT project 🌱 This week, Contactica participated in the 8th BeonNAT project General Assembly held in Braganza, Portugal. Bringing together partners from across Europe, this event celebrated the progress we’ve made in transforming underutilized tree and shrub species into high-value bio-based products. From fibers and bioplastics to biochar and biochemicals, our work continues to push the boundaries of what biomass can do for a sustainable bioeconomy. 📅 Day 1: We reflected on our journey so far, with partners presenting updates on each work package. The collaborative spirit shone through as we tackled challenges, brainstormed solutions, and mapped out our next steps. 📅 Day 2: We deepened our focus with a workshop on High-Value Bioproducts, hosted by Instituto Politécnico de Bragança. Joined by representatives from related projects like SUSTAINEXT project, FIBSUN, and Up4Health project, we explored innovative approaches to turning biomass into sustainable solutions aligned with Europe’s goals for decarbonisation and the circular economy. Key takeaways from the assembly: 🌱 Innovation is at the heart of the bioeconomy. 🤝 Collaboration accelerates solutions. 🌍 Together, we’re creating a greener future.
