February 3rd was huge step forward and an important milestone for Alicante's future Congress Centre. The awards ceremony was a memorable event, thanks to the collaboration and joint efforts of all the entities that made this project possible. We are deeply grateful to our outstanding partners Luca Poian Forms and Prointec for their exceptional work in the design and planning of this modern centre, whose vision will be key to the future of the city. The synergy between these teams has been fundamental to materialise this ambitious project. Frade Arquitectos was established in 2005 by Juan Pablo Rodríguez Frade. Our purpose is to create a fluent dialogue between the built and its context, offering a contemporary response to complex programs, stimulating sensibility with the selective combination of material, texture, light, and scent that envelops the space. Juan Pablo Rodríguez Frade has been awarded with several Prizes including The Spanish National Prize for Restoration in 1995, Premio COAM 2014 and Premio AR&PA 2014. Juan Pablo has participaded in numerous lectures, masters and international exhibitions and his projects have been published in industry magazines and publications.

alicante’s historic harbor is set to receive a shimmering modern addition, as Luca Poian Forms and FRADE ARQUITECTOS reveal their competition-winning congress center. the proposal draws from the area’s layered past, taking cues from the former defensive structure that once stood on the site, and promises a contemporary landmark that encourages public engagement. the center's tapered masses will be clad in white glazed ceramic bricks in a nod to valencian tradition, resulting in a glimmering facade. a bridge connecting the two incorporates a roof garden which lends a new public gathering space and connection with nature. read more here: https://lnkd.in/dcBdyvFc
