🚇 A new Grupo ACS milestone for transport in Sydney! CIMIC Group Limited's companies - Pacific Partnerships, UGL and CPB Contractors - have played a pivotal role in the delivery and operation of the central section of the Sydney Metro, the largest public transport project in Australia, which has taken a decisive step forward with the start of services on the new M1 Metro Northwest & Bankstown line. This is Australia's first fully automated metro line and will be able to move more people at peak hour than the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Harbour Tunnel combined! ◾ Pacific Partnerships and UGL will operate and maintain the subway from Tallawong to Sydenham, totaling more than 50 kilometers of track and 21 subway stations, including the section opened today. ◾ CPB Contractors, together with its partners, designed and built the project's twin 15.5-kilometer tunnels and carried out the associated civil works on the urban section. ◾ CPB Contractors and UGL connected the Sydney City Subway to the existing North West subway line, completing the mechanical and electrical equipment for 31 kilometers of tunnels and six subway stations. ◾ UGL supplied the project's radio system and, through its participation in Metro Trains Sydney, expanded its existing services on the Metro North West Line. 🚧 ACS, Acciona y Meridiam construirán y operarán la SR400 Express Lane de Atlanta (Georgia) durante 50 años 🚧 ESP: Los Grupos ACS y Acciona han sido adjudicatarios de un contrato para financiar, construir y después operar durante 50 años el proyecto SR400 Express Lane de más de 25 km de carriles de acceso controlado (managed lanes) en Atlanta. El proyecto tiene un valor de construcción de más de 4.600 Millones de dólares (EUR 4.200 Millones). Este Proyecto es un logro clave que confirma el liderazgo del Consorcio en el desarrollo, construcción y operación de proyectos de carriles de acceso controlado (managed lanes), así como en la transformación de las infraestructuras de transporte para un futuro más conectado y sostenible🌲. 🌏 Cerramos la semana con grandes noticias desde Australia para el Grupo ACS🌏 ESP: CIMIC ha sido seleccionada por los gobiernos Federal y de Australia Meridional para llevar a cabo los proyectos de separación de nivel del tranvía🚃. El objetivo de este proyecto es mejorar la seguridad, eficiencia y fiabilidad del transporte, así como la conectividad y calidad de vida a lo largo de la línea de tranvía existente que va desde el CBD de Adelaida hasta Glenelg. Además, se realizarán modificaciones en el paso elevado de South Road para facilitar la construcción del esperado Proyecto River Torrens to Darlington. Juan Santamaria, Consejero Delegado del Grupo ACS, comentó: “Estas mejoras serán cruciales para apoyar el crecimiento económico en Australia Meridional, reducir los tiempos de viaje para conductores, autobuses, transporte de mercancías y tráfico hacia el aeropuerto, al mismo tiempo que se promueven opciones de transporte urbano sostenibles y de bajas emisiones para los pasajeros.” Los estudios previos ya están en marcha mientras que las obras darán comienzo a finales de 2024. The aim of this project is to improve transport safety, efficiency and reliability, as well as connectivity and quality of life along the existing streetcar line running from the Adelaide CBD to Glenelg. In addition, modifications will be made to the South Road flyover to facilitate the construction of the long-awaited River Torrens to Darlington Project. Juan Santamaria, ACS Group CEO, said: "These upgrades will be critical to supporting economic growth in South Australia and reducing travel times for motorists, buses, freight and airport traffic, while promoting sustainable urban growth and low emission, healthy transport choices for commuters." Preliminary studies are already underway while work will start by the end of 2024. La adquisición es un hito importante y encaja perfectamente en la aplicación de nuestra estrategia. Dornan es una empresa de ingeniería líder en Europa. Los 1.000 empleados directos de Dornan generarán unas ventas de unos 700 millones de euros en 2024. El crecimiento de los ingresos ha superado el 20% de media en los últimos años, respaldado por una cartera de pedidos en expansión que actualmente se acerca a los 1.100 millones de euros. La empresa tiene un modelo de negocio complementario y un planteamiento del riesgo similar al de Turner, y también comparte muchas de las relaciones directas con empresas de primera fila e hiperescalares. The acquisition is an important milestone in the implementation of our strategy and a perfect fit. Dornan is a leading European engineering company. Dornan's 1,000 direct employees will generate sales of around EUR 700 million in 2024. Revenue growth has averaged over 20% in recent years backed by an expanding order book which currently stands at close to EUR 1.1 billion. The company has a complementary business model and a similar risk approach to Turner and also shares many of the direct relationships with blue chips and hyperscalers. Turner has identified around EUR 20 billion dollars of advanced technology project opportunities in Europe and is working on data center projects in the Netherlands and Spain.
