IDOM Social Group celebrates the World Humanitarian Day August 19 marks World Humanitarian Day, established by the UN through an official decree. The main purpose of this date is to highlight the value of humanitarian workers, who play a crucial role in the welfare of millions of people around the world. In IDOM Social Group we work together with many NGOs, and therefore, with their workers. At the moment, we are collaborating with the associations #TARA in India, KUKUA Community Projects in East Africa Tanzania, dalecandELA org in Spain and we have collaborated with SALUGANDA ELKARTEA in Uganda, Fundacion Quipu Ainy and Fundación FdF in Colombia. Digital transformation on El Hierro El Hierro is an island that is very dear to IDOM. You all know the famous Gorona del Viento project, designed by IDOM, making El Hierro the first island with a 100% renewable energy generation and which has become a model worldwide. Today we present a new project that will make El Hierro a digital island: "EL HIERRO EN RED", an initiative that uses ICT to create an advanced digital infrastructure and information services that optimize the management of the territory and its resources. IDOM Social Group (ISG) grita “dale candELA!” DALECANDELA FEST es un festival organizado por la asociación sin ánimo de lucro DalecandELA, cuyo fin es recaudar fondos para la investigación en la lucha contra la ELA. El objetivo de iniciativa es ayudar a quienes padecen esta enfermedad, ya que en España se considera una enfermedad rara, exige cuidados permanentes y elevados desembolsos. Jaime Lafita Bernar, fundador de dalecandELA org, visitó las oficinas de IDOM para reunirse con IDOM Social Group (ISG)y contarnos de primera mano su experiencia como paciente de ELA. Con su espíritu arrollador, solicitaba ayuda para dar visibilidad a esta enfermedad. Fruto de dicha reunión, IDOM Social Group (ISG) ha decido participar en el DALECANDELA FEST, que se celebrará del 20 al 22 de septiembre en Getxo (Bizkaia). Este año, IDOM Social Group (ISG) será patrocinador del evento, y, además, contará con voluntarios de nuestro equipo . Innovation and sustainability in rail mobility At IDOM, we're working with Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), a sustainable mobility operator that leads the way in managing railways. FGC set itself the challenge of being the first organization to integrate the BIM methodology into the SAP maintenance module. Together with SAP, we took on the challenge of developing a proof of concept on SAP technology based on the BIM model of a real railway station. The result of this pilot, which laid the groundwork for future integrations, is a major step towards an automated and error-free environment. Learn more about this innovative project. FGC, se planteó el reto de ser la primera organización en integrar la metodología BIM en el módulo de mantenimiento de SAP. Junto a SAP, asumimos el desafío de desarrollar una prueba de concepto sobre tecnología SAP, tomando como base el modelo BIM de una estación ferroviaria real. How we improve urban life. Cities Forum 2024   Fifty-six percent of the world's population currently lives in cities. By 2050, this figure is expected to be closer to 70 percent. It is therefore essential to ensure that cities adapt to the human scale and become increasingly welcoming places. Last June, the 6th edition of the Cities Forum was held in Madrid. It addressed the main urban challenges from the perspective of new economies and strategies that enable changes in planning, decarbonization, circularity, digitalization, nature-based solutions, social innovation and new sustainable mobility. The event featured more than 150 speakers and 26 round tables. Our colleague Manuela Casado participated as a speaker in Mobility: quality of public space, a session focused on pedestrianization, proximity policies that rebalance the city and make it more sociable and sustainable, and all the challenges facing the implementation of these transformations.   Under the title: The city as a possible world: the new tramway as a catalyst for urban regeneration and the creation of a new green infrastructure in Guatemala, he approached the feasibility study developed by IDOM from the perspective of urban integration, landscaping, pedestrian mobility and the design of public space, always placing the person as the protagonist of the world we want to create. ana montalban navas, Patxi J. IDOM Social Group (ISG) collaborates with TARA PROJECTS association in India   The mission of TARA (Trade Alternative Reform Action) is to practice fairness in its production and trade activities to develop artisans in impoverished areas and other marginalized sections of Indian society. The organization has committed itself to adhere to the standards of fair trade as developed by the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).   IDOM Social Group has signed a one-year partnership with this association. This partnership will finance an educational project for 50 students between the ages of 14 and 17 in the Badarpur and Bawana areas. The beneficiaries will be able to continue their studies thanks to this project.   This collaboration reflects IDOM Social Group's commitment to helping and developing the most disadvantaged communities.  The educational project with TARA PROJECTS will contribute significantly to the personal and academic development of these students. Faes Farma plant ready to manufacture 100 million medicines a year To support the continued strong growth in the number of product units sold in recent years, the pharmaceutical group FAES FARMA decided to expand its industrial capacity with the launch of a new pharmaceutical production plant project. The new facility, designed by IDOM, with Gonzalo Carro López and Patxi Matute Roldán as the architects responsible, is located in the Science and Technology Park of Bizkaia. The configuration of the building is adjusted to the plot and to a complex topography with large slopes, achieving an important symbolic load, but based on the viability and functionality of the production. This translates into a compact, staggered building, adapted to the orography of the plot. This implementation achieves that, from a distant point of the road, the image of the administrative building appears, apparently floating above the main entrance. The building has LEED GOLD certification, thanks to a series of measures including the solar protection of the façades, the work on the thermal inertia of the building with the inclusion of a green roof, and the sustainable energy production systems in the form of photovoltaic panels.  #health #medicines #architecture #efficiency #sustainability #faesfarma ----------------- La planta de Faes Farma lista para fabricar 100 millones de medicamentos al año Para apoyar el fuerte y continuo crecimiento del número de unidades de producto vendidas en los últimos años, el grupo farmacéutico Faes Farma decidió ampliar su capacidad industrial con la puesta en marcha de un proyecto de nueva planta de producción farmacéutica. La nueva instalación, diseñada por IDOM, con Gonzalo Carro y Patxi Matute como arquitectos responsables, se ubica en el Parque Científico y Tecnológico de Bizkaia. Se plantea una configuración del edificio ajustada a la parcela y a una compleja topografía con grandes desniveles, consiguiendo una importante carga simbólica, pero basada en la viabilidad y funcionalidad de la producción. Esto se traduce en un edificio compacto, escalonado, adaptado a la orografía de la parcela. Esta implantación consigue que, desde la aproximación en un punto lejano del vial, aparezca la imagen del edificio administrativo, aparentemente flotando sobre la entrada principal. El edificio cuenta con la certificación LEED ORO, gracias a una serie de medidas entre las que destacan la protección solar de las fachadas el trabajo en la inercia térmica del edificio con la inclusión de una cubierta vegetal, y los sistemas de producción de energía sostenibles en forma de placas fotovoltaicas.  #salud #medicamentos #arquitectura #eficiencia #sostenibilidad #faesfarma
