🚩PALIMPSEST initiated the Prototyping Phase last week in #JerezdelaFrontera, #Spain! 💡During these three days, Estelle Jullian (Culturama) and Nomad Garden, together with the professors of the Degree in Ceramics at the School of Art Design of Jerez and their students, presented and discussed PALIMPSEST's framework and the Songs of the Nearby Earth (SONE) proposal, which will be developed in the city over the next year and a half. ❗Then, a series of meetings with local experts were organized to brainstorm on the traditional zambomba of Jerez (Coca family) and the challenge of redesigning it to fit in the SONE's vision: its shape and sound dimension (Belenish), its future use as a renaturalization device (Asociación Amigos de los Árboles). The three-day workshop was concluded with a field trip to delve into the traditional vineyard landscape of Jerez de la Frontera with Willy Pérez (Bodega Luis Pérez) in search of inspiration and materials to work in class throughout the year: albariza, pruning wastes. 👉Learn more about the 1st prototyping workshop in Jerez at https://lnkd.in/dtGfdx59 Many thanks to our partners Nomad Garden and Ayuntamiento de Jerez for the organization of all the activities! #neb #NewEuropeanBauhaus #research #landscapesustainability #jerezdelafrontera #spain #andalucia #palimpsestdiaries #PALIMPSEST #albariza #ceramics #zambomba #livingheritage I-SENSEGroup/ICCS Service Design Lab, Aalborg University ERSAF Lombardia Novelcore COAL CULTURALINK CALL - Cities in Action for Learning LAB BC3 - Basque Centre for Climate Change
