🧠 Barcelona-based startup INBRAIN Neuroelectronics has raised €46M and will compete with Elon Musk's Neuralink. This brain-computer interface (BCI) therapeutics company has developed a #graphene implant capable of decoding and modulating neural activity precisely, targeting conditions like Parkinson's, epilepsy, and stroke recovery. In September, the company enrolled its first patient with this implant in a clinical trial focused on glioblastoma brain cancer at Salford Royal Hospital in Manchester. Two patients are currently undergoing treatment. The Series B round, led by imec.xpand and joined by investors EIC Fund, ICO, CDTI, Avançsa, Asabys Partners, Aliath Bioventures, and Vsquared, will support ongoing clinical trials, team expansion, and further development of the company’s AI-driven therapeutic platform. ✍️ Gabriel Trindade, La Vanguardia https://lnkd.in/dgkKv4SR

Maria J Marti left her "Wall Street job" to launch a #startup. After more than 20 years in leadership at companies such as American Express or MetLife, the entrepreneurial bug finally bit and led her to create ZeroError.ai. "ZeroError is the tool I always needed when I was an executive on Wall Street, but it didn’t exist yet." A platform that uses AI to analyse data and identify errors with complex anomaly detection techniques. 🗣️ "Early in my career, I was very shy in meetings and had a lot of accent speaking English. But my boss told me, 'If you don’t speak in the first five minutes of a meeting, chances are you won’t speak for the whole meeting.
