🎯 Patricia Marcos Suárez, Carbon Management Project Manager of Tecnicas Reunidas, attended to European Union’s 4th Forum #ICM at Pau. 🌍 More than 550 attendees in person and more than 2500 online from different sectors, companies and institutions sharing insights about the #CCUS business, key policy development and new projects status. Some of the most important conclusions highlighted: 🔹 #CCUS is crucial for Europe #decarbonization target achievement and competitiveness safeguarding 🔹 Infrastructure and standardization development needs to be speed up 🔹 Regulatory frame is also required to facilitate the CCUS projects development 🔹 Political awareness is vital, and de-risking investments across the entire value chain must be prioritized in the coming years. 🤝 TECNICAS REUNIDAS´s Inspection Department in collaboration with Inspection Technology and Quality Assurance National Institute (ITQAN) has designed an In Company Training Program for Inspector Assistants for Pressure Vessels to improve the technical capacities of young Saudis who have attended to Vocational Training and are willing to pursue a career in the inspection field and become qualified pressure vessels inspectors. This program complements the theoretical foundations of the individuals in a first stage of three months, where the trainees will delve into four modules: Welding Engineering, Materials Sciences, Codes and Standards, Inspection and Fabrication. Once completed this phase, the trainees will start the On Job Training staged for nine months in the framework of TECNICAS REUNIDAS projects in Saudi Arabia.  🔹 TECNICAS REUNIDAS In Company Training Program provides the trainees with: 1. 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, who are TR Senior Vendor Inspectors. 2. 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 who belong to the industry, as they are TR Welding Engineers and Senior Inspectors. 3. 𝗜𝗧𝗤𝗔𝗡´𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲 which has allowed us to design the Performance Evaluation procedures for the two stages.  4. 𝗢𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, and hence, real-work experiences. 5. An entry position in the 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 without compromising the quality of the Vessels, as the trainee is working in a controlled environment under the continuous supervision of a Senior Inspector. 🔹 Through this Industry-Academia collaboration fully aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, TECNICAS REUNIDAS intends to tackle one of the main challenges identified by the Human Capability Development Program of the Saudi Government, which is “the lack of professional and applied practical experience in areas of high demand. TECNICAS REUIDAS counts with the collaboration of two of its Partners: OCA GLOBAL and Fulkrum”. 💡 We believe this program will provide opportunities and a bright future to young Saudis willing to work hard in this profession.
