Teamwork and cooperation are truly powerful forces that drives us forward and help us achieve more together than we ever could alone. Thank you, Thomas P. Illes and StudyTrip@Sea Seminar, for making the trip to visit us and joining us onboard Finnlady! #Studytrip #Seminar #finnlinescrew

Swiss Tourism Management students from HFT Luzern AG - Höhere Fachschule Tourismus Luzern experiencing/enjoying Finnlines' FINNLADY: How does a large #RoPax work? What is the relevance/who are the target groups of this type of shipping for tourism and the economy? What are the principles of BRM/CRM Bridge/Crew Resource Management, how are leadership and teamwork organized on board and what can land-based enterprises learn from the maritime industry in this regard? What about the environment? Questions that I was able to discuss and explore in depth with 34 students from the T2325 course of BZLU Bildungszentrum Luzern on our first 30-hrs leg between #Travemünde and #Helsinki, as part of this year's unique, practice-oriented 6-day #BZLU StudyTrip@Sea Seminar. After that, we continued with Tallink Grupp's cruise ferry SILJA SERENADE on a mini-cruise #Helsinki-#Stockholm-#Helsinki and finally with the shuttle ferry MEGASTAR to #Tallinn. As a special highlight and privilege, Master Pekka Stenvik and his crew gave rare behind-the-scenes insights during regular ship operations at visits to the bridge and engine room. He also provided the students with valuable and instructive information in the subsequent Q&A's with his truly charismatic manner. In addition, Capacity and Yield Manager Frauke Werner presented exciting additional information about Finnlines. One particularly interesting aspect, among others, was the topic of #RoPax as formula for success in terms of capacity utilization and #sustainability as the growing tourism segment also benefits from the passenger capacity on vessels, which ensure an economically important, year-round freight connection with significantly lower CO2 emissions per transported cargo than, for example, by road transportation. Many thanks to Finnlines, to Master Pekka Stenvik and his wonderful helpful crew and especially to Benoît Surin and his team for your great support and hospitality! Thanks also to BZLU-Owner Patrick Rüedi and Sarah Rueedi, who, with their PERSONAL, PRACTICAL and VISIONARY educational concept, are the ones who set the foundation for such unique seminars abroad! However and above all, a BIG THANK YOU to our great, highly motivated students for their openness, interest and commitment - it was a great pleasure and joy to accompany you on this seminar and to work with you! 🎊M/s Finnsirius celebrates its first anniversary 🎉 Finnlines entered a new era on 15 September 2023, when its brand-new Superstar-class freight-passenger vessel, M/s Finnsirius, started to operate on the Naantali–Långnäs–Kapellskär route. Its sister vessel M/s Finncanopus joined in February 2024, and together they quickly doubled passenger numbers on the route between Finland and Sweden. The entry of the two Superstars marked the completion of Finnlines’ EUR 500-million Green Investment Programme, which also consisted of three freight vessels, all of which entered Finnlines services in 2022. 🚢 “But this is a cruise vessel”🌟 Many visitors and passengers have acclaimed the sister ships as “cruise vessels” due to their upgraded services. The new ships also allow foot passengers to board for a cruise, something that wasn’t possible before. 🔷 Read more: https://lnkd.in/dySSTJgG #finnlines #efficient #reliable #sustainable #finnsirius #superstar
