About us

Paulig is an international food and beverage company, growing a new, sustainable food culture – one that is good for both people and the planet. Paulig provides all things tasty: Tex Mex, Snacks, coffees, World Foods and spices. The company's brands are Paulig, Santa Maria, Risenta, Poco Loco and Zanuy. Paulig also manufactures products for its private label and industry customers. In 2023, the company’s sales amounted to approximately EUR 1.2 billion. Paulig was founded in 1876 and is 100% owned by the Paulig family. The company has 2,500 passionate employees in 13 different countries working on our purpose For a life full of flavour.  Sustainability is in our DNA and our purpose A life full of flavour means more to us than just the taste experience in itself. It is also about taking responsibility for people and the environment and about the way we work. We believe that everything we do should leave a good taste in the mouth. To enable this we need to take care of sustainability – i.e. people, profit and planet throughout the value chain.

  • At Paulig, we're cutting 90% of CO₂ emissions from ocean imports by switching to biofuels. Through long-term partnerships, we’re making a real impact on both the environment and our industry’s future. Here’s how: 🚢 90% CO₂ reduction: Cutting 10,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually by using biofuels for ocean freight.  🤝 Strategic partnerships: Sourcing certified biofuels for key products like coffee and spices (80% of Paulig’s total shipments).  🌍 Mass balance system: Ensuring sustainable shipping practices, even when biofuel isn't used on every vessel.  🌍 Sustainability 2030: Aligning with our goal to cut value chain emissions by 50% by 2030.   • Last week in Brussels, Paulig participated in the Food Drink Dialogues hosted by @FoodDrinkEurope and @FinancialTimes. The event aligned with the publishing of the European Commission's Vision for Agriculture and Food, emphasizing the food and beverage industry's role in sustainability, competitiveness, and consumer empowerment.   Key discussions included:   💡Pathways to a net-zero food chain: Europe’s food sector is committed to reducing emissions and achieving net-zero by 2050. Paulig is targeting net-zero by 2045. 💡Empowering consumers: Henrik Samuelson, SVP Customer Brands, as the President of the FoodDrinkEurope, joined a panel on creating food environments for more balanced, sustainable diets. 💡Boosting competitiveness: Kaisa Lipponen, SVP, Sustainability, HSE & Communications, joined the event discussing strategies for overcoming rising costs and enhancing Europe’s food sector were explored.
