We are thrilled to announce that our talented intern, Abdourahmane BALDE, represented Cell Environment at the 27th International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention #MICCAI2024, held in Marrakesh, Morocco, October 6-10. Abdourahmane BALDE presented a cutting-edge scientific poster titled "Benchmarking Noise2Void: Superior Denoising of Medical Microscopic Images". This study proposes a Deep Learning of Noise2Void (2V) model to improve microscopic image quality and facilitate segmentation to detect sickle cell disease eventually. It also aims to compare the effectiveness of the N2V model with traditional denoising. Indeed, this work showcases that automation in the detection of sickle cells is crucial as it enhances accuracy, reduces diagnostic time, and significantly improves clinical outcomes by enabling timely and effective patient management. Participating in such a renowned conference is a testament to Abdourahmane BALDE's hard work and dedication. We are incredibly proud of him and the positive impact his research brings to the medical imaging community. Nous avons le plaisir d'annoncer l'arrivée de Simon Mallet au poste de PhD Student chez Cell Environment. Dans le cadre de la collaboration entre Cell Environment et Littoral Environnement et Sociétés (LIENSs), Simon travaillera sur un sujet portant sur les mécanismes de réparation de l'ADN en relation avec la résistance au cancer. Cette synergie entre nos équipes promet d'apporter des avancées significatives dans la compréhension de cette résistance observées dans d'autres espèces.
