Watch the presentation by Jerome Nevoux sharing his experience with RobOtol in Cochlear Implant surgery. Individualizing the electrode array length to match the patient's anatomy, particularly the cochlear size, is becoming increasingly important according to MED-EL RobOtol robot is helpful to assist the atraumatic insertion of the electrode array as shown in the video. RobOtol is especially useful for inserting longer electrodes, which are more difficult to handle manually. RobOtol reduces the complications rate during the electrode array insertion, decreasing the impact on fragile structures and ensuring an optimal insertion angle. As demonstrated in the video, the RobOtol setup is straightforward, with RobOtol positioned directly in front of the surgeon. Furthermore, using RobOtol does not significantly extend the surgery time, as the preparation can be done without affecting the overall duration of the procedure.
