We’re excited to share the news about our 𝐇𝟐𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 that has received financial support from TKI Energie under grant number: TKI-2021-H2-23! Together with Delft University of Technology, Destinus Energy has developed next-generation hydrogen combustion technology for the OP16 Gas Turbine. The result? A 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭-𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 that can operate on 𝟏𝟎𝟎% 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐚𝐬, 𝟏𝟎𝟎% 𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧, or any mix of the two. Thijs Bouten, Principal Combustion Engineer at Destinus Energy, will present a paper at the 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐁𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 on 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟒𝐭𝐡 in Eindhoven, Netherlands. A recent McKinsey report suggests that the decarbonization goals set by the 2015 Paris Agreement may be under threat. So what else can we do? 🔽 Technological projects are both costly and time-consuming, investors are uncertain about returns, and regulations often bring more uncertainty than clarity. The gap between ambition and actual results is widening each year, making the net zero goal seem even further away from 2050, according to the report. Are we doing enough?
