⛰ As climate change accelerates, mountain regions face increasing risks to healthcare infrastructure and public health. MOUNTADAPT's first analysis reveals key climate hazards and their linked vulnerabilities and impacts across its four demonstration sites in Austria, France, Slovenia, and Romania. Responding to this need, the MOUNTADAPT project is focused on building climate-resilient healthcare systems. 🌍⚡ Introducing the SPRINT - Horizon Europe project! ⚡🌍 🔋 As the EU accelerates its transition to climate neutrality, the demand for sustainable and efficient stationary energy storage is rising. While lithium-ion batteries dominate the market, challenges such as critical raw material dependencies, cost volatility, safety risks, and environmental impact highlight the need for alternative solutions. Sodium-ion batteries offer a promising path, but improvements in energy density, cycle life, and large-scale manufacturability are crucial for their competitiveness. 🚀 SPRINT - Horizon Europe is tackling these challenges with cutting-edge innovations in electrode design and scalable manufacturing, leveraging safe, abundant, and cost-effective materials. By optimising quasi-solid-state polymer composite electrolytes, ensuring rapid upscaling, and demonstrating two high-performance batteries, SRPINT aims to revolutionise the sector—boosting sustainability, safety, and cost-efficiency. 📅 On January 29-30, the SPRINT Kick Off meeting was hosted by Institute for Energy Technology, the project coordinator, at its facilities in Lillestrøm, Norway. 🙌 We are proud to have contributed to SPRINT’s funding and to support its implementation. As a proud partner in the ENERGICA project, we are thrilled to share a remarkable success story from our recent meeting in Nairobi. 🤝 Our collaboration with innovative partners like Roam (Romain Petiteau & Habib Lukaya)  is driving real change in sustainable mobility across Africa. 🌱 During our visit, we witnessed the transformative impact of ROAM's electric motorcycles, the Roam Air, on Nairobi's streets. 🔋 These eco-friendly 'boda bodas' are now readily available through popular ride-hailing apps like Uber and Bolt, offering a cleaner, greener transportation option for locals and visitors alike. 🚲🌿The presence of ROAM Hubs throughout the city further demonstrates the project's success in creating a robust infrastructure for electric mobility. 🏙️ This is how a project idea, nurtured by Euroquality consultants and brought to life by committed partners, can lead to tangible, positive changes on the ground. 💡 A special thanks to Lola Mosseri-Lefebvre, our Head of the Energy Unit, whose expertise and vision were key in bringing the ENERGICA project to life! 🌍✨ Introducing the SIMIACCI Project! ✨🌍 💡 As the EU advances toward a climate-neutral future, the Creative & Cultural Industries (#CCI) face growing pressure to adopt sustainable practices. Among them, Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (#GLAMs) require substantial energy for controlling Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), and humidity levels essential for preserving cultural heritage artifacts. 🌿 SIMIACCI introduces a portfolio of innovative technologies transforming indoor air quality management that will provide concrete evidence of energy and resource-efficient solutions, reducing energy demand by 30-50% and extending the conservation time of cultural heritage artifacts.🏛️ 📸 On January 23-24, 2025, our first meeting brought together partners at the stunning National Coach Museum, hosted by our coordinator Moisés Pinto at the Instituto Superior Técnico and Museums and Monuments of Portugal. 🙌 We had the privilege of exploring this Lisbon gem, where modern architecture beautifully showcases historic carriages and clothing collections. A behind-the-scenes look at the museum's archives provided the perfect inspiration for our mission to revolutionise IAQ management for cultural heritage! 📌 We are proud to have contributed to SIMIACCI's funding and glad to support its implementation!
