HoIi is one of the major festivals in India and is celebrated on the full moon 🌕day (Purnima) of the Hindu month of Phalgun. It marks the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil. It brings together communities, families, and friends. Congratulations for the inauguration of the new carbon fiber recovery plant in Imola, Italy! We were happy to attend the event to see the completion of this one-of-a-kind project, designed to make the whole process more energy efficient and eco-friendlier. Indeed, the plant uses an advanced pyro-gasification process to recover carbon fiber from production waste so it can be reused as high-quality recovered material, ready for new industrial applications! We supplied a Fives ITAS thermal oxidizer which is used to play a double role: ✔️ Destruction of Volatile Organic Compounds to reduce emissions and meet environmental regulations ✔️ Optimization of process operation by maintaining the right temperature in the furnace and reducing the overall energy consumption We look forward to building sustainable industrial processes with our local partners! Our teams at Fives Combustion Systems have been awarded new a contract by a chemical company in Western India. The customer required a more sustainable, efficient, and compact heating system to do process heating (indirect). Fives Combustion Systems will supply a 2.3 MW thermic fluid heating system. 🔥 The modular solution includes heaters, air preheaters, low NOx burners, blowers, pumps, and filters. 🌟 Faces of Fives: Meet Mariarosa Novati, Accountant at Fives ITAS Mariarosa joined Fives ITAS nearly 37 years ago, without knowing that she would build her whole career in the same company! Starting as a young accountant right after she finished school, Mariarosa has seen the company’s transformation throughout the years: from handwritten invoices to advanced financial tools, becoming part of the Fives group in 2014. Through every change, her passion for precision and numbers has never changed! For her "accounting is about balance. Numbers must match and things must be in order. Even today, after years of experience, I still feel great satisfaction when everything reconciles on the first try!" Over the years spent at Fives ITAS, she has proven that “behind every successful project in life, there is precision, commitment and teamwork” and that accounting is about ensuring clarity and contributing to a much bigger picture. Her advice to young professionals?  “In an industrial company like Fives ITAS, being an accountant is more than processing invoices, because you have the opportunity to follow projects from start to finish and to work closely with different departments. For the first time, Fives North American Combustion, Inc. has taken part to Back2School, an event organized by Fives - Aluminium in Saudi Arabia. This training has become a standard in the Middle East, with top experts from Fives and manufactures in the aluminium industry coming together. For 5 days, participants learned through engaging workshops and keynote sessions about the technologies that make for a more sustainable and efficient industry and most importantly how to ensure optimal operation of their aluminium plants. Back2School has become a place where, beyond training, trainers and trainees can share thoughts about the challenges they face and opportunities for development. As stated by our trainer Ricardo Gil Miguel, European Engineering Director of Fives North American Combustion: “I was proud to be a trainer at Back2school 2025. A nice chance to show the potential for increasing the efficiency of the cast houses and making them greener. Thank you to all the participants for their interest and great input.” A heartfelt thank you to Ma'aden Aluminium who hosted the event.

Fives ITAS is proud to have worked in partnership with Saint-Gobain h-old on the installation of the first e-Ductflame™ hybrid burner in Italy! Our experts have supported Saint-Gobain throughout the process, finding the solution that would be best adapted to their operations. Thanks to Fives’ patented hybrid heating technology, Saint-Gobain h-old will significantly decrease its CO2 emissions. Indeed, Fives’ technology, which replaces gas with electricity, will enable Saint-Gobain, who has been electrifying its process, to leverage its electricity, notably produced by solar panels installed on-site. Compared to the former installation, thanks to Fives’ e-Ductflame™ Saint-Gobain h-old will increase energy savings of fossil fuels, reduce operating costs and improve the quality of the heating process. 🤝 This is another milestone for Fives in its 20 years partnership with Saint-Gobain and its journey to support the decarbonization of industry worldwide!

For the last couple of years, Fives Combustion Systems has been organizing a picnic for their employees and families. Aside from a day trip out of the office, this annual gathering is a great way to boost teamwork, revitalize employees' spirit, and encourage departmental integration. This year’s picnic took place at "Rejoice Resort," an ecotourism destination, 60 kilometers from the city center of Vadodara, with vibrant greenery and stunning views of mountain ranges. Over 100 employees and their families took part in the exciting activities and enjoyed the resort's campus. Everyone had a great day which included a joke studio program hosted by radio jokey and celebrity Smit Pandya, also known as "Kishorkaka.” They also played outdoor games that included cricket, tug of war, saree draping competition, and dancing. Anchor Nilofer hosted these games which brightened the participants' spirits. A full day of activities, presents giving, relaxation, nature, laughter and good food to enjoy together.
