[PROJECT] 🎉 The Arch of the New Pont des Piles is complete in Shawinigan, QC, Canada! 🎉  Built in 1978, the Pont des Piles in Shawinigan is used by around 11,600 vehicles, 14% of which are heavy goods vehicles. The bridge had to be rebuilt, and the decision was made to build the new arch-shaped structure alongside the existing one.  🙌 Freyssinet is proud to be involved in this iconic project by supplying the temporary stay cables and providing technical expertise throughout the construction process. Both the experience of Freyssinet (stay cable operations) and our partner Hebetec (heavy lifting) helped to define a suitable solution for the client. 🔧 The temporary stay cables are equipped with strand jacks from Hebetec, allowing for precise adjustment of each arch piece's level.  These stay cables are anchored to the permanent structure using Freyssinet’s proprietary HRod system, which includes forks to allow rotation of the system during different construction stages.   📅 The bridge is scheduled to open in summer 2025.  Feel free to reach out to our local subsidiary if you’d like to learn more about this exciting project! 🚀  Check out Freyssinet Canada’s website 👉 https://www.freyssinet.ca/ #Freyssinet #PontDesPiles #Construction #sustainabletechnology

[PROJECT] Grizzly reservoir dam   📍 Colorado, USA   Carpi Tech is proud to play a vital role in restoring the watertightness of the historic Grizzly Reservoir Dam, a critical infrastructure asset for Colorado’s Front Range cities.   🔧 This 1932 steel-faced rockfill dam, essential for water supply, is grappling with extreme environmental conditions and seepage issues.   Following a detailed inspection by RJH Consultants, Inc. in 2022, Carpi Tech’s innovative SIBELON® CNT 4400 solution was chosen to address these challenges. This cutting-edge system comprises:   👉 A 3.0 mm PVC geomembrane bonded to a 500 g/m² geotextile, engineered to endure harsh environmental and structural stresses, ensuring long-term watertightness and stability.   👉 An Omega-shaped tensioning profile with welded mild steel tabs, specially designed to secure the geomembrane over existing steel rib joints, based on extensive trial results.    Covering 29,000 sq ft, the project is on schedule for completion by mid-October, demonstrating our commitment to efficiency and excellence.   👏 A big shout-out to our Carpi Tech team for their dedication to delivering durable and effective water infrastructure solutions.   #Waterinfrastructure #Innovation #Sustainabletechnology

Aktualnie toczą się prace na wahadle południowym P3 – sprężenie poprzeczne płyty pomostowej oraz powstają kolejne segmenty ustroju nośnego. [PROJECT] 🚨 Innovative LED integration at the Causeway 🌉 📍 Perth, Australia Freyssinet is thrilled to be a part of Perth’s iconic Causeway Pedestrian and Cyclist Bridge project! This ambitious initiative delivered two stunning cable-stayed bridges, providing a 6m-wide path for thousands of daily pedestrians and cyclists, enhancing urban connectivity and safety. 💡 The custom-designed low-consumption LED system is fully integrated into an additional and independent stay cable sheath, ensuring both functionality and aesthetics. With more than 17,000 LEDs integrated along 2,000 meters of HDPE (High Density Poly Ethylene) sheathing, these bridges will become true nighttime landmarks. This cutting-edge lighting system enhances the bridge's architectural appeal while preserving the aerodynamic stability and durability of the cables. 🔧 We met a few challenges during integration… Indeed, we had to redesign the conventional cable sheath to accommodate the LEDs, rigorously testing the modified profile in wind tunnels to ensure optimal aerodynamic performances. This ensures the system withstands Perth’s environmental conditions while delivering a visually stunning result. 🌉 Beyond functionality, this project adds a new dimension to Perth’s skyline. The bridges, lit from sunset to midnight, create a striking visual experience, set to become symbols of the city’s innovative spirit. 👏 This project embodies the innovative spirit that has been at the heart of our company since it was founded. Well done to the entire Freyssinet Engineering and Freyssinet Australia teams for pushing boundaries and delivering a solution that’s both innovative and iconic!
