#CustomerAdvisory | The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) has launched a strike in the United States. ➡️ As previously indicated, this strike impacts all ports facing the US East and Gulf coasts from Maine to Texas and all types of cargo. ➡️ Ships which have not already loaded or discharged cargo at these ports will be unable to berth and will begin to anchor or divert to unaffected ports. We are very proud to announce that our #GEODIS team in Vietnam has successfully completed the door-to-door transport of over 200 tons of equipment, including 14 flat rack containers, from Hai Phong to Melbourne for a global technology leader in #sustainable energy! This complex project required rapid response to guarantee timely and flawless delivery, encompassing the handling of out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo. Our tailor-made innovative solution involved comprehensive logistics, including road transport, lashing, stuffing, loading, and fumigation. Despite significant challenges like equipment shortages and tight schedules, our Project Logistics team in Vietnam demonstrated exceptional coordination and preparation.
