When processing #tomatoes for #sauces, pastes, or other products, significant side streams like skins, seeds, and pulp are discarded. These by-products represent up to 10% of total production and often end up as waste or low-value animal feed, despite their rich nutritional and functional potential. Here’s the scale of the issue: Globally, over 40 million tonnes of tomatoes are processed annually, creating 4+ million tonnes of side streams But what if these by-products weren’t considered waste? What if they became opportunities? At Green Spot Technologies, we see value where others see loss. Ces coproduits représentent jusqu'à 10% de la production totale et finissent souvent comme déchets ou aliments pour animaux de faible valeur, malgré leur riche potentiel nutritionnel et fonctionnel.  Voici l'ampleur du problème: À l'échelle mondiale, plus de 40 millions de tonnes de tomates sont transformées chaque année, générant plus de 4 millions de tonnes de coproduits. Mais que se passerait-il si ces coproduits n'étaient pas considérés comme des déchets? Et s'ils devenaient des opportunités?
