Dorchester Collection is delighted to announce the appointment of Philippe Leboeuf as chief executive officer, effective June 2025. An award-winning and seasoned hotelier, Philippe has in-depth experience across regional roles in the luxury sector on multiple continents. His strategic vision, leadership, expertise in operations and organisational culture, combined with his extensive experience with new openings, will continue to position Dorchester Collection at the forefront of luxury hospitality. Philippe has been director general of Concorde Hotels, owned by Taittinger, where he oversaw 19 owned and 70 affiliated hotels. Additionally, he was a Board director of Leading Hotels of the World and has held many other senior leadership positions such as regional vice president of operations for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, vice president operations for Rosewood and general manager of Claridge’s. In his most recent position, as managing director of Raffles London, he oversaw the successful opening of the hotel. Commenting on this appointment, Christopher Cowdray, president of Dorchester Collection, said: ‘Keeping the Dorchester Collection renowned culture and values alive was key in the selection of Philippe as CEO. Driven by purpose and excellence, he is highly respected globally by many stakeholders including owners, the travel trade, the media and partners, and especially employees and guests.’ Philippe remarked: ‘As Dorchester Collection hotels write the history of their destinations and have a special alchemy that brings them together, I’m greatly looking forward to taking the company legacy and storied heritage to the next stage’. A graduate of Cornell University and HEC Management School in Paris, Philippe is fluent in four languages: English, French, Italian and Spanish. In addition, he was awarded the Knight of the Legion of Honour by the French government.

UNE MAISON SUR LE TOIT D’UN HÔTEL : BIENVENUE À MAISON HELER, L’OVNI ARCHITECTURAL DE METZ Metz s’apprête à accueillir un hôtel hors du commun : MAISON HELER, une création signée Philippe Starck. Imaginé comme un rêve surréaliste, cet hôtel de la collection Curio Collection by Hilton marie l'audace contemporaine à l'héritage lorrain… littéralement, puisqu’un manoir du XVIIIe siècle trône sur son toit ! Pourquoi une maison sur un hôtel ? L’architecte-star a voulu donner vie à un rêve poétique et surréaliste : une maison typique de Lorraine perchée en équilibre sur un monolithe moderne de neuf étages. Inspirée du conte imaginé par Philippe Starck, La Vie minutieuse de Manfred Heler, cette conception raconte l’histoire d’un rêveur passionné par l’invention. Plus qu’un défi architectural, c’est une véritable déclaration d’amour à l’architecture régionale, un hommage à la tradition qui défie l’impossible. Cet esprit créatif se reflète jusque dans la décoration de l’hôtel, offrant aux visiteurs une expérience inédite et immersive Les chiffres clés de Maison Heler : - 104 chambres et suites, conçues dans un style élégant et intemporel. - Un restaurant et un bar sur le rooftop, entouré d’un jardin suspendu, offrant une vue imprenable sur Metz. - Un second bar-restaurant au rez-de-chaussée, baigné de lumière naturelle. - Un design pensé comme une expérience immersive, fidèle à l’imaginaire décalé et visionnaire de Starck. Un lieu qui va marquer les esprits Maison Heler n’est pas qu’un hôtel, c’est une œuvre d’art habitable, une provocation architecturale qui vient enrichir l’offre hôtelière de Metz et en faire une destination encore plus attractive. Mais le projet de la Maison Heler a été marqué par une série d'événements inattendus, alimentant l'idée d'une "malédiction" autour de l'hôtel. Outre la disparition inexpliquée du promoteur Yvon Gérard en août 2022, le chantier a connu plusieurs autres péripéties : - Incendie criminel : Le 6 juillet 2022, un incendie d'origine volontaire s'est déclaré sur le site de l'hôtel, causant une vive émotion dans le quartier de l'Amphithéâtre. - Accident du promoteur : Le 10 juillet 2022, Yvon Gérard a été victime d'un grave accident de la route, entraînant un traumatisme crânien et une fracture du bassin. - Modifications structurelles : Pour se conformer aux réglementations et contraintes budgétaires, le bâtiment a dû être réduit de 34 à 28 mètres, entraînant la suppression de deux étages et de 17 chambres. Après plusieurs reports, l’ouverture était prévue pour ce mois de mars 2025, mais il semblerait que celle-ci ne soit toujours pas effective.
