Aujourd'hui, cette technologie se décline en multiples formes (alcoolique, lactique, acétique, méthanogène, propionique, butyrique, malolactique, solide, mixte, butanediolique, méthanogène etc.), chacune offrant une large gamme d'applications innovantes dans des domaines variés et répondre aux défis actuels. Healthy oceans need a healthy climate, and vice versa. On this #WorldOceansDay, we show how CBE JU projects contribute to promoting the blue #bioeconomy, driving innovations that support ocean health and offer sustainable solutions. 18 CBE JU-funded projects are advancing this crucial part of the #bluebioeconomy. Here are just some examples: 🌱 ALEHOOP is developing pilot-scale #biorefineries to recover low-cost dietary #proteins from alga- and plant-based biomass. 🌿 MULTI-STR3AM is advancing #biobased pharmaceutical and cosmetic compounds. 🔬 Nenu2phar has successfully demonstrated the production of polymers called polyhydroxyalkanoates (#PHAs) using bacteria grown on sugars produced by #microalgae. 🌊 SCALE Project is enabling large-scale production of high-value ingredients from unique microalgae species through economical and environmentally friendly processes. Our Nenu2phar project finishes after 3.5 intense years of hard work, a lot of #microalgae, #bacteria, #PHA and #bioplastics.
