September has been a busy month for forums hosted by PAI’s Portfolio Performance Group (PPG)! The Digital, IT & Data Team in the PPG held its first #CIO Club for those working in information, data and technology leadership roles across the PAI portfolio. As well as meeting peers and sharing experiences, participants were joined by leaders from Bain & Company, EY and Microsoft to explore topics including AI disruption, emerging cyber threats and what CEOs expect from their CIOs in 2024. Stefano Drago, one of the Founding Partners of PAI’s Mid-Market Fund, returned to the Private Equity Europe Forum hosted by Markets Group for a panel discussion on sourcing and practising efficient due diligence and risk mitigation. The group discussed the outlook for deal sourcing and pricing, how focal points in due diligence are shifting in the current climate and how investors are hedging against potential pitfalls. “Compared to last year, the bid-ask spread has tightened, financing is available and dealmaking is rebounding. There are plenty of reasons for optimism” says Stefano. #PrivateEquity #MidMarket

The Talent Leadership & Culture Team in PAI's Portfolio Performance Group recently gathered CHROs from across the portfolio for PAI’s #CHRO Club – an annual forum of learning sessions, networking and workshops. A group of more than 30 current and former CHROs were joined by specialists from Bain & Company, Latham & Watkins, businessfourzero - a Heidrick & Struggles company and colleagues at PAI to discuss the role of the CHRO during an exit. They also heard from PAI’s Gaëlle d'Engremont, who hosted a fireside chat with Mikael Gedin of former PAI portfolio company Perstorp Group.
