📸 Paris Photo Fair 2024: Where heritage and innovation come into focus We're excited to announce that POAP Studio returns to Paris Photo Fair, the world's leading event for photographic art, taking place November 7-10 at the iconic Grand Palais. Paris Photo Fair demonstrates its pioneering spirit by dedicating an entire sector to photography in the digital age. Under the curation of Nina Roehrs, the Digital Sector features a selection of fifteen contemporary galleries and curated platforms at the forefront of new technologies, showcasing artists who integrate digital realities into their work. POAP Studio is honored to contribute a special digital collectible celebrating excellence in art in the digital age within the photographic canon. Based on Gretchen Andrew's series of Facetune Portraits, presented by L’Avant Gallery Vossen in Paris Photo’s Digital Sector, this year’s free souvenir questions photography and the digital eye in the contemporary age of facetuning and social media. As the first European fair to dedicate a program to digital art, Paris Photo Fair exemplifies how established institutions can incorporate new technologies while honoring their heritage. Join us at the Grand Palais to be part of this remarkable convergence of traditional and contemporary worlds! #parisphotofair #parisphoto2024 #digitalsector #photographyinthedigitalage #artinthedigitalage NFT Factory | Carla Pieretti | Nathalie Litvine | Prasannah Baskaranathan | Jean-Michel Pailhon | John Karp | Sophia D | Michael Bouhanna | Kate Vass | Mo El-Sayed | Isabel Gonzalez | 🌠 Sandrine Decorde | Audrey Depommier | Faustine Fleuret | Micol Ap | David Cash | Elise Yoshida | Thomas Matteï | Olivier Le Garlantezec | Micael Barilaro | Nicolas Billieres | Shannon Snow | Dimitri Daniloff | Aveline Gevaerts | Merel van Helsdingen | Martina Negro | Cosmo Lindsay | BORGET Sebastien | Benoit Couty | Gaspard Broustine | Eugénie Mentré | Shelley Mannion | Taisia A.

Learn how World of Women uses POAP - The Proof of Attendance Protocol to prevent farming exploitation 👇 In the Web3 ecosystem, many projects offer rewards to early users. This has led to “farming”: a systematic exploitation where users perform minimal required actions hoping to maximize rewards. Essentially, doing the bare minimum to qualify. This is where World of Women comes in. ✅ As one of web3's most prominent NFT projects focused on diversity and female empowerment, World of Women has consistently pushed boundaries in community innovation. Their latest initiative, the Anti-Farming Farming Club (AFFC), moves beyond superficial engagement to focus on real-world participation and meaningful connections. Key aspects that make this approach unique: 🤝 IRL Participation: Points are earned through actual event attendance and meaningful interactions ✅ Verified Engagement: Using POAP (Proof of Attendance Protocol) to authenticate real participation 👥 Community Focus: Emphasis on building genuine connections rather than gaming the system 💫 Long-term Value: Creating sustainable communities instead of short-term reward hunting This represents a shift from quantity-based to quality-based engagement metrics. At POAP Studio, we believe this approach creates more resilient communities, where genuine participation leads to long-term value creation and helps identify true advocates who drive meaningful innovation in the space. Connect with World of Women in person at SheFi Summit Bangkok (November 11th) and Art Basel Miami (December 6-8)! How do we verify TRUE fan loyalty? Trying to get tickets for next year's #Oasis reunion has been mission impossible. Shouldn't a true #Oasis fan have priority access to a ticket presale? A generational divide has emerged, with original fans from the band's '90s peak era worried about losing tickets to newer followers. As a fan brilliantly tweeted: "If @oasis really wanted to reward fans, they'd ask for Proof of Fandom." Oasis actually tried to get some proof! In an attempt to verify the level of fandom, ticket access was gated behind a music knowledge quiz 🤯. The presale quiz included questions about the band's original drummer (Tony McCarroll) and their concert attendance history (see image attached). For North American dates, an additional question about the band's last performance in the region was required, all designed to prioritize dedicated fans. ❌ This method can't actually prove anything, as a quick Google search would solve any trivia and fans can always lie about the number of shows attended. This attempt to identify "eligible fans" for a second ballot has left many dedicated followers frustrated. So, how can anyone verify if you are a real or original fan? 🧐 Enter POAP - The Proof of Attendance Protocol. ✅ Imagine if every concert you attended generated a unique, blockchain-verified digital collectible. These can't be faked, bought second-hand, or lost like physical tickets. True fans could build verifiable histories of their concert attendance, creating their own digital "Proof of Fandom." Artists could then easily identify and reward their most dedicated supporters with priority access to future shows and more exclusive benefits. Definitely maybe by their next reunion in 2050, true fans will finally be verified-proof and recognized! 🎸✨

Just 10 km outside the bustle of Paris, the charming commune of Thiais is writing a new chapter in community building for the digital age. This past weekend, Thiais hosted the second edition of the Theodasium Festival, celebrating gaming, esports, and technology. The event demonstrated how modern interests can bridge generational gaps and build new connections. POAP Studio was a proud partner and contributed to the festival by offering a unique #POAP for attendees to collect during the Street Fighter 6 showmatch, adding a digital keepsake to the event's many experiences. Other partners included the Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse, Métropole du Grand Paris, Ville de Thiais and major companies such as IKEA, Orange, La Poste Groupe, ENGIE, Linkcity, ELUDIS and Thrustmaster. As Theodasium continues to evolve, it serves as an insightful case study in how digital initiatives can enhance community spirit and facilitate intergenerational understanding. At POAP Studio, we also share these values of nurturing community connections through digital experiences. This forward-thinking initiative showcases the potential of technology to unite communities and also sets an example for other municipalities looking to explore digital possibilities.
