"Tariffs and Trade in a Second Trump Term" by Wes S. Sudduth, Esq., Venable LLP at the RFCI 2025 Spring Members Meeting, April 28–30, Montage Palmetto Bluff, SC. As a partner in Venable LLP’s Washington, DC office, Wes Sudduth assists clients on issues related to international trade and national security laws and regulations, including cross-border regulatory compliance, economic sanctions, export controls, and foreign investment reviews. Mr. Sudduth also focuses on import and customs matters, forced labor, anti-corruption and anti-bribery, trade remedies, transportation and logistics-related laws and regulations, including the Shipping Act/maritime and all other modes. He is an experienced counselor who finds practical solutions for client needs, including internal compliance reviews and investigations, training, screening and due diligence, voluntary disclosures, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), contract review, and proactive engagement with regulators. Mr. Sudduth has significant experience representing and counseling U.S. and multinational clients on matters before multiple regulatory authorities, such as the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). He recognizes the need for innovative and practical compliance solutions to complex legal problems.

Allison Foley advises clients on environmental and administrative issues critical to the manufacturing, utility, and real estate industries. As part of this practice, Allison advises clients on regulatory obligations and associated liability and operational considerations related to the manufacture, import, use, and disposal of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and other chemical substances and emerging contaminants. This work includes regulatory advocacy under existing and proposed environmental and consumer product regulations and policies administered by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Consumer Product Safety Commission and arising under various state environmental and consumer product safety programs. Allison serves on the Board of Trustees for the Legal Aid Society for the District of Columbia and has been a member of the Venable Foundation since 2012. Ned Monroe will answer the question "What’s happening in our Nation’s Capital impacting the vinyl industry?" He is the President and CEO of The Vinyl Institute. In this role, Ned advocates for the vinyl industry and leads vinyl resin producers in the United States, helping to create and execute the institute's strategic focus to maximize its impact and value.   With over 30 years of experience in Washington, Ned has extensive skills in legislative and regulatory advocacy, communications, and association management. He also serves as the Chairman of the Global Vinyl Council, which includes membership from fourteen national vinyl manufacturing organizations worldwide.   Before joining the Vinyl Institute, Ned was Executive Director of Global Public Affairs with SC Johnson Company.
