Did you know that this island has been running on 100% green electricity since 2024? 🌍 Anegada, a small island in the British Virgin Islands, faced high energy costs and a heavy reliance on diesel generators due to its isolation from the main power grid. Since 2024, Anegada has been powered by 100% green electricity thanks to a revolutionary microgrid project. Saft installed battery energy storage containers, a power conversion system and a microgrid controller. Solar panels complete the installation. ☀️ The entire system has transformed the island's energy landscape, reducing diesel-generated electricity equivalent to 271,000 liters of diesel fuel and 1,248 tons of CO₂ emissions. 🌱 Read our full case study to learn more about this microgrid project: https://lnkd.in/exHHXQVm #WeEnergizeTheWorld

In an increasingly connected world, sensors are everywhere! But did you know that they could also be on your liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder? 🔍 LPG is used in thousands of applications and is especially valuable in the transition to cleaner cooking and heating in developing countries where clean energy sources are less available. One of the ways to store LPG is to use cylinders, and what's more annoying than running out of gas? Ragasco, a Norwegian company, has developed a connected bottle that lets users know how much LPG is left in their bottle. This innovation, connected to an app on your phone, works with a sensor that needs constant power to deliver the data to the user. That's why Saft's LS14250 battery is the perfect choice for this product. With its compact size, unrivaled performance, and ATEX certification, efficiency and safety are guaranteed. 🔋✨ Read our full article to learn more: https://lnkd.in/eguHs-Aw #WeEnergizeTheWorld
